You don't need to empty it. Just close the air control, put the tank upside down and then take the base off and rewick.

Tell us what you're doing. What size and type of coil are you using? So far I'm getting the best flavor from a 28g SS coil 2.5mm id with Rayon wick.

Hi guys, i've just got myself one and managed to build it to work.

Will need to browse through this long thread for more tips but can anyone tell me how to do re-wicking with tank filled? I am under the impression that the tank needs to be emptied out before opening. Is it true?

You can rewick with the tank filled but I always end up with juice squeezing out between the tank and build deck when reattaching. I hold the tank upside down and screw the build deck on but juice always squeezes out.

First build was on fused clapton with unbleached cotton but i was not satisfied with the vapor and flavor production, seems that i didn't wick it properly.

Found this video on Youtube, saw how the wicking and how the coil is positioned against the post and decided to give it a try.

Now i'm using an exact setup as per the video, 24 AWG kanthal, wicked the same way and regretfully have to report that the juice is draining like crazy with a side effect of huge vapor production and satisfactory flavor. I love it and hate it at the same time

Black Nano has a fused Clapton .3id installed & koh gen do wick. I always peel skins off wick, thin them out a bit & tuck just into wick holes. Get great flavor & never a dry hit. Occ slight flooding after refill.

I watched that video and it motivated me to get my nano back out. I built a .53 coil with 24ga kanthal at 2.5mm and placed it like he did in the video. I'm getting great flavor from it now. Better than I remember before.

I want to try thicker wire. The thickest I've tried was 28g.

I'm running the 24ga at 21.5 watts on my IPv6 and it's a nice vape.

Im running 26ga at .7ohms on one
At 20 watts great flavor

I use a 26 gauge SS coil at around .5 ohms. Very good flavor.

I havent built any simple rounded kanthal with this tank anymore haha..for me, it suited me the best with fused clapton or alien wire. Thick vapor and tasteful flavour.

Btw, which built is better, spaced or contact coils?

Nope, torching Silver Nano won't give you rainbow effect, it simply turn it into a black one... I suppose.

I've never torched a tank, so I'm unaware. If it's a way to get a rainbow without damage it could be fun. If it just turns it black, I wonder how the finish would stand up.
