I do to, hoping I can work it out. I have 3.5id coil in it now. Will try smaller coil, not sure if it will work. Best flavor with more wick in this one. Love the look & it doesn't whistle, just loud with af wide open or shut down. Took it out when I walked dog & didn't bother me outside. If nothing else works - at least I have an outside tank!

I got SMM last week & enjoy it. Deck is great! Nano is still #1 on my fav list. SMM may make it to #2 if I can figure out how to get the airflow quieter. Flavor for on SMM only good if af 1/2 closed down IMO.

Damn, I had hopes for this one (haven't ordered yet), but I hate noisey tanks.

One of the reviews I saw said if you take longer/slower draws it isn't too noisy. I vape in TC mode so that is how I generally vape. It might not be a solution if you vape in wattage mode at high power.

I hate the screws... I cant remove one of them now because it is destroyed by the hexagon tool...

HA HA HA!!! Finally, I find someone in the same shoes as me.
I share your hatred :toast:.

I just recently destroyed a hex nut in my Merlin tank and I don't see any chance in taking it out...

But I am in a better situation than you because Merlin tank uses Velocity post, so I can still switch to use the other pair of post holes.

I am planning to buy good quality screwdrivers from Fasttech, for hex nuts, I will buy these

Take it to a hardware store and try every type of tool to try and get it out. They have star shaped tools that will work.

Note, I've got several pretty well known current tanks that need a 1.3mm, you might want to get one of those too.

(I went with a Bondhus set, which does have a 1.3mm. )

Aromamizer v2, Aromamizer Supreme Lite, Wotofo Serpent Mini are 1.3

OBS Nano, Avocado 24 are 1.5

Oumier Wasp, GeekVape Ammit 25 are a tiny slotted head.

Though I swear by my Bondhus set for hex, in the US harbor freight has a cool electronics repair screwdriver set - small hex, torx, slotted, ...

It's an option, I've tried it but pretty much pointless, everything works/tastes better with 2 coils. With one, even of you get the wicking right, you have really long leads which isn't great for TC and some wasted air is unavoidable.
I have not had that experience with my Engines. Nano gives me better flavor, I tend to reach for dual when I'm looking for nic satisfaction. That's what I love most about vaping. The whole process is completely subjective. Keeps it interesting!

I will show you a picture of the "round shape" hole when I re-wick.
I plan to buy a new tank and give this one to my friend.
Anyway, thanks for your offer to help!
No problem, I have tools that can take out rounded allenhead screws like yours.

Hi guys, i've just got myself one and managed to build it to work.

Will need to browse through this long thread for more tips but can anyone tell me how to do re-wicking with tank filled? I am under the impression that the tank needs to be emptied out before opening. Is it true?
You don't need to empty it. Just close the air control, put the tank upside down and then take the base off and rewick.
