Ss and kanthal with the same gauge, coil id, and wrap number will work at the same wattages. They have roughly the same coil mass, and the same heat flux.. Resistance doesn't matter that much.

HAHA! I recall my secondary physics textbook tells me a simple way to know the heat generated by heating devices (e.g. water heater) is I x I x r where I is current and r is resistance. May be I remember it wrongly.

    Ohm's Law Calculations With Power

How come nowadays, resistance no more playing a role in heat generation??? That is beyond my brain power...

Watts are watts. A lower resistance coil will require a lower voltage to reach a specific wattage. The current required is the same. Your formula isn't valid in this context, when we're talking about regulated devices.

    No resistance = no heat.

    Easiest to understand.

Here's a Steam Engine comparison (I sorta had to mess a little bit with resistance to get the wraps approximately the same).

The center of the argument here is whether resistance matter in heating up juice. If it does, then 2 dimensional and size identical coils of different material should heat up juice in different rate...

From room temperature to a point you can feel the warm vapor, provided, all other conditions remain unchanged, the higher the resistance the faster the process. And that is why more wrap, thinner wire which gives more resistance means faster heat up.

I don't unfortunately, most of the places I order from are slow boats from China, or VapeNW. VapeNW doesn't carry them.

Never thought I would try the Nano again after all the finicky wicking but I tried a few times today for the hell of it on my new Mod. Vaping great and trying the wick 3 times in a row to make sure it wasn't a fluke that I was getting good Flav. Well low and behold im digging the Nano. Tried the Drip tip from the SMM also to give it a better look [IMG]

Did you already use the spare that comes with the tank? If I use the spare that's when I typically buy more.

For anyone still looking for a good image resizing program (i'm reading posts on page #18), here's this one, it's simple and easy. I use "Custom" and set it at 600 pixels for the Vertical and leave the Horizontal open. Again, a very easy program to use.

I strongly believe that your luck fall on the way you attach you coil, you just got it right, right from the beginning. Think about it, the main different between OBS Engine Nano and other tanks is the direction the air hits the coil(s)...

Wicking it seems to be very easy, you just need to ensure don't jam the two juice holes with too much cotton, that it is.
