I have the CM v4, like it a lot. The one thing I might do is use a piece of teflon tape on the handle joint - it wants to unscrew when I wrap a CCW [emoji5]
Under $9 from FT.

The bottom line is if it works for you then keep up the good work. The Engines are a forgiving atty.
Flooded as in the coil, or flooded as in "I couldn't see the juice level and kept adding until it ran down all over me" which is the one issue I have with the top side fill.
It gurgled while trying to take a vape. It over flowed into the air chamber when I over filled it. I had the tank on its side filling it.
I fill both right to the top, 45 degree tilt at the start then 90 degrees till the juice is level with the hole.
This is how I wick all my Engines(Regular, Mini and Nano), except that I'm using cotton. I don't have any wicking issues. With rayon I trim the wick, have it resting on (just barely stuffed into) the two eliquid holes. A pretty standard rayon wicking, though less trimming due to the size of the holes.
I think Ive finally found my go to travel tank
Had to do a lot of errands today took my nano with me
It was 85 degrees or better I forgot and left it in the truck with windows upafter an hour i came back and the tank was laying on its side on the seat
Not a drop leaked out this is the only tank i have that will do that
Not that big of a deal, I just forget to wrap the other way...The CoilMaster V3 he uses in the review video makes that easy!
Great tip, I shall do that next time!Yep, and one I heard somewhere and follow just because I can and it doesn't take anymore time. Fill to the left side of the opening and you won't get spitback. Maybe, matbe not. But I haven't had any spitback and I fill mine FULL.
I'll take a piece of the extra cut off length and unwind it and try to figure it out. I think I want to try making one with thinner wire. Maybe 28 or 30g wrapped with 36g???I don't know for sure what those are. The fused claptons I run in my Engine are 24g core wrapped in 36g. If I had to guess I would say those are 26g core 36g wrap
I hate that. Same thing with my Serpent (which I don't use anymore). How difficult is it to design these correctly...That is the only thing I don't like about the tank is the backwards coil wrapping...![]()
Really don't like the idea of getting a new coil jig just for this atty. Sure, I can wrap counterclockwise with my old jigs, but annoying nonetheless. The CoilMaster V3 he uses in the review video makes that easy!
Review from Daniel
His tips wrap at least 3.5mm I.d. Coils for best flavor, if using single wire coils close off airflow for best flavor. Wrap coils counterclockwise.
I was going to try 3*30/38g today.I'll take a piece of the extra cut off length and unwind it and try to figure it out. I think I want to try making one with thinner wire. Maybe 28 or 30g wrapped with 36g???
Welcome to the wonderful world of RTA's!Well, I couldnt wait for my clapton wire to get here. I saw the coil master kit came with some 24 ga kanthal and figure what the heck. Never built my own coil, no better time than the present to start. I made a 4mm 7 wrap spaced coil. That coil master kit made it easy! It came out to .782ohm. Wicking this thing is so simple it isnt funny. Put it on my Alien, 33 watts and fire away. Instantly started coughing, this thing puts out a much denser vape than the baby beast I was using! I thought to myself this sucker aint getting the best of me, so I sat upright(just got off work and was relaxing on the couch) and took another shot. No coughing but I couldnt see crap for a couple seconds, talk about clouds!.....lol.
I will say this though, flavor is about the same as the baby beast. So maybe 4mm is a little much. Not sure. 1st RTA so not sure what to expect. But I do know this. Im hooked! No more buying tanks with factory coils. I think I pretty much knew I was heading this direction....ordered an Avocado 24 from FT yesterday...lol.
Thanks for doing what you do all, its opened a new door for me. Appreciate it!

OK, now I call superstition.
Just fill the tank while standing under a ladder while holding a black cat and you'll never have spitback again.![]()
Don't forget to through some nicotine salt over your shoulder while doing it!I knew you'd give in before the Claptons landed.
And yes, it is dead simple to build. Best advice is play around with your builds to get exactly the vape you want. That's the beauty of RTAs, the coils are built to YOUR specs, not you compromising on a factory coil that "should be about what I want". A 4 mm coil might be a little large for that tank. For me a 3 mm coil is my typical go to for most tanks anyway. As for the clouds, there are cloud chasers who view the cloud from these as meh. Think about how much they must be pushing to do.
