OBS Engine RTA... or is it an RDTA?

I just ordered a pair of stainless Engines on the fasttech Thanksgiving sale: $18.42 each. I'm eager to check out the top airflow and the big fill port. They'll be my first 25mm tanks, but should sit nice on my Cuboids. Those are currently hosting my Bachelor II tanks (another nice hassle-free dual-coiler), but I threw in a pair of EVIC VTwo Minis in the new orange and blue colors to handle those.

good luck getting the mods thru customs. I won't be ordering any mods or batteries from overseas, just tanks and parts.

Thanks for the heads up; I'll let you know if I have any trouble.

Update - Most of the order showed up two weeks ago, with an additional 4-day wait for the 2nd mod (the pretty blue VTwo Mini was back-ordered). So I've had a chance to kick the Engines around, mounting both SS and Ti coils for temp control.

The base is fantastically easy to build on, and wicking is a snap as well; I tuck the ends into and through the holes will no ill effects. No leaks of course, though it drinks juice like there's some kind of dimensional rift inside. The airflow is outrageous; this is the first tank that I won't be running the AFC full open. It leans out the mix too much that way! I'm currently running it about 80% closed, which seems pretty good for flavor and draw, but I've got more experimenting to do.

It's a much different thing from my other tanks, and an apt addition to my collection. I'm enjoying it so far. Thanks a lot to the fans who drew my attention to it!

Hi, does anyone know if OBS is gonna make the Nano (Single Coil Version) in the 23mm version? I love my OBS mini on my pico. A single coil version would be even more amazing. Currently, OBS website only shows a single coil 25mm coming out soon.

That sure looks like a regular Engine tank. It would be nice if the deck was interchangeable, as it looks to be. It'd be even nicer if they'd sell the deck separately at a reasonable low price. Nicest of all if they'd include both decks in the main Engine purchase, at least as an option.

Given the dimensions and volume, it does seem odd to call it a "nano". I'm not sure you could swap decks, as the airflow could be/should be different for a single coil deck than the dual model. Top air does complicate that a bit to assure flow over the coil.

I'm betting the top air hasn't changed, and why would it need to? It'll just hit the coil from both sides.

Maybe an Engine Pro kit with all the decks

I think I would be happier with a 22 mm single coil version than a 25 mm that just reproduces the dual coil I already enjoy.

I like using single coil tanks on single 18650 mods. Better battery life without having to build higher ohm coils. A separate, exchangeable deck for the Engine Mini would be outstanding, especially since I already have a Engine Mini.

Just ordered the OBS Engine for my vaporesso target mini. (Using a spacer for the lip) Question. The target mini has the charge port on the bottom. Will this tank leak if I lay it on it's side when charging?

Yup... the 25 will not fit, but the mini 23 should... perhaps you can find someone to trade with...
