since it was cheap i got one to toss around, didnt like how quick it was able to flood as essentially the wick is the tank, so i pulled the pin from the airhole, blocked it with a tooth pick, and drilled a new hole on the side directly on the wick/coil. threw in some of the 3mm wick i use and somehow this has become my fav little dripper as of late. massive tasty clouds that make me feel woozy lol

I received my mini-octopus today.. its kicking... im rocking the stock 2.0 ohm coil for now. I like how its hitting im gonna just use it till it breaks or something then rebuild it.. Any tips on wick placement when im putting the top back on to vape? I been so far just kinda guiding the wicks around the edge of the cover but I have seen some fotos of people's rda's with some elaborate wick set ups

I don't have any elaborate wick set ups but on my squids I loop the wick around & place the end in between the posts so the end is just barely touching the coil. When I had a shorter wick I hated how the wick would flop out. Now it stays in place & catches all the juice as my Squids are modded for bottom feed & juice comes out the center post.

picking mine up in about half hr from a local vendor. tired of the clearos, tired of all the hassles associated with it, the tinkering, the pulling wicks off on bcc clearos. holding it certain ways, bla bla bla. they suck, its been almost two years in this vaping game with this bull..... tank crap. i have had it. i have been in this game too long to not try my hand at rba's. i got wick coming i got coil coming. its going to get nasty folks! the only down side to rba's is portableness lol. tough to bring that thing out to a bar or something. will go through a 15ml bottle of juice in a hr. plus once the booze kicks in, dexterity drops just a hair. i am sure i will lose the cap, or fill it to the point where it over flows. first night of experimenting phase 1 begins.

Most people on here are plugging the air hole through the bottom and then drilling the top cap. I used a toothpick to plug the stock air hole and then drilled in between the top 2 grooves a new air hole and it became a champ

Yea a pic would be awesome I got the concept but would like to see a picture

Just my opinion but I see no advantage to plugging the bottom air hole. It works well. I also see no advantage to putting the additional air hole on the opposite side. It is best, in my opinion, to put an extra hole in the same vertical line as the stock hole, anywhere from 5/16" to 7/16" above the stock hole.

Here's a photo of where I put mine. I don't have the original lined up, but it still get's airflow through it even through it's now not helping. I moved the coil on to the other side of the posts as I felt like the raised air tube on the original side was getting in the way.

I love mine. Haven't redrilled any holes or anything. I use 3 turns of 0.16 nichrome and 1.5mm Ekowool folded twice. Comes in at 2.1 ohm. I use it mainly indoors as the cap can slip off when retrieving from a pocket if careless (which I am). Had it a good few weeks now and no probs. Prefer to loop the wick into itself rather than let it dangle.
