LOL can i get more resistance wire there too? What do you think is the best res wire? i think i have 36 Kath

I purchased a 5lb roll right from Kanthal dot com of 34AWG Kanthal A-1 cost $235 and I also got some of the newer Kanthal APM and it is awesome. I have an in that buys from them, they only sell in big bulk rolls so you wont be able to buy from them though unless you get a few people together and split a big big roll like the one I got and divide it up

HMMM.... i got my lil roll of kath from ebay for like 4 bucks..

Yup, you can get it there for cheap on ebay though lots of it is knock off stuff and extra wire leftover from big jobs and different stuff from the heating industry. My opinion only is that Kanthal & Sanvik are the leaders in Kanthal and many of the materials on there website, they even are a major ceramic supplier Landlord and they have top notch goods, but dont even try to buy from them in a small quantity it just wont happen. However if a bunch of you guys got together you could do a small CoOp together and buy a big roll and split it up. There plant is in Sweden, when buying from others I would ask who's wire it is maybe, like I said I just happen to know someone who buys in bulk, 5lbs of Kanthal A-1 is a LOT of Kanthal, that 5lb Roll I have is a lifetime supply then some and cost $235 :)

Poppa,

That is true that you can do that, however, I would not advise it as that would mean you would be putting the threads on the plastic piece through a lot of wear and tear every time you refill.

Just my 2 cents on that.

I think the clear window can be relocated to the top tank by using the top tank in the middle and the window on top.

Remove the top steel tank piece and attach the lid to the clear for a medium tank w/window on top. The mouthpiece would be short.

There aren't any male/male steel pieces to replace the window and complete the big mode.

Wish someone would try a sealed 510 Atty in the Ody, the ones that have no hols in the bottom center pin, just the 2 breather/feeder holes in the side of the threads, if it is able to breath enough when taking a pull with just those two holes it would be a super Atty in this tank, allowing for nothing to ever leak.EVER

Holy potato head I was sitting on my couch relaxing but this ody behind me would not stop talking to me. I had to get upstairs get my desk clean and just play around with it. 1hr and 30 mins later I have successfully build my first atty!! I have 2 sweet spots one at 4.8v with 2.5ohm or at 5.8-6v at 3.5ohm-3.8ohm. As I had no meter near by I just went for it and got myself a 3.7ohm atty!!!

Filled up the bad boy and it vapes amazing!!! Smooth, tons of vapor, huge TH, no flooding, no dry hits yet, just amazing. Thanks for the help people I highly appreciate the assistance. in 2 days I try my luck at the big mode but for now I am in vape heaven.

soooo happy for you. don't worry, though, with practice making coils will be quicker

Thanks for taking your time to explain this to me Joy.

Well, you can check the resistance of the wire easy enough. Attach your NR wire on one side, first, then you can put one probe on the NR wire and the other probe on your R wire. Just move the probe along the R wire until you reach the resistance you want, this is where you want to twist on the second NR wire. Once you've put both NR wires on, you can put your meter probes on either end to get the final resistance

Just remember to account for the internal resistance of your meter. Put the two probes together and make a note of what the meter reads. You need to subtract this figure from what you measure on your R wire in order to have the actual resistance. For example: my meter reads 0.4 ohms with the probes touching, so if my coil reads 1.9 ohms my actual coil resistance is 1.5 ohms

Hope that makes sense :)

It won't work. the side holes are only exposed to juice in a GG tank UFS Ody AVS ect. You would basically be sucking juice through only kinda like a straw the center hole is where it gets it's air from.

Watch this video
making Iatty resistance HD 1 - YouTube
it is for iAtty but it is basically the same coil makup
There are some other good videos here
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/gg/199864-iatty-assembling-video.html

He shows how to build for a specific resistance. If you want to check built resistance put one lead on the center pin on the bottom and the other on the ody body (when assembled) this will show your assembled resistance.

Yup your right fright88 I just tried it with a seal 510 Atty. However it would be nice if there was a cone for using a 510 Atty in short mode so we could use a smaller tank with a 510 Atty. I just also went through setting up a 510 Atty short mode using the bottom piece with the metal tank and then the clear tank like I do with making my own Atty wrap short mode as I showed in a previous post, but the 510 Atty cone that is used in this situation wouldn't allow for the top cap to go on and fit over the 510 Atty cone, do you see what I'm saying, there is no way to use a 510 Atty in small mode which would be nice to be able to use. I do have one extra top cap and I think I may be able to put it on my drill press and take just a little out of the hole making the top cap hole (7mm) instead of the (5mm) hole that is drilled in the top cap, looks like there is 1mm of fat on either side before hitting the threads and I can make this work by drilling it so that extra top cap I have fits over the 510 Atty cone, then I can use the Ody in a short 510 Atty mode ! Got me ?

I love this tank using it with a regular 510 type Atty, REG resistance, LR, and HV !!!

PS: after trying to set this 510 Atty short mode up I even filled the tank thinking it was going to work, then I tried putting the top cap on and it wouldnt fit over the 510 Atty cone, haha so now I'm vaping the full tank with no top cap on it, its working super, just to use the juices up.

PS Again, if Imeo made the same 510 Atty cone but milled off the 2nd tear making the top tube all the same size as the mouth piece part this 510 Atty short mode would work !!!!!

you screw very well the mouthpiece on the Ody and you put it inside UFS Zor. It works like all the other atomizers
Ok, I am at a loss. Who has the Odysseus working in UFS mode?

I havent tried it and do not want to take my working Big Mode apart to figure it out if I don't have to.

How does the juice get up into the coil without having to open the mouthpiece/cone? Imeo did not show any specific setup on how to put the 2 small orings in the small slot or show the flow path for the juice in the video.

Maybe you forgot to put off the 3x2 o-ring under the center pin and to put the tiny o-ring inside the slot around the bottom of the this pin fx.
hi ggers
i recevied 2 oddy upurade kit
big mode and ggts base are very good work
i tried ufs mode , but it's fail as leak and gurgle
so i tried ce2 put in ufs with ce2-mouthpiece . it's irregular but worked so good without leak and gurgle
