if more people ask for it then why not Cac:)
Back up and running thanks to Bruce...cracked my plastic window last week which took the unit down. Thank you Bruce for sending me the replacement window!

I still think the plastic window is the Achilles heel of this incredible design. Imeo, do you have any plans to make a SS window for the large mode 510?

I honestly think there would be a decient amount of demand for it if you did make them. I know there are a few people that feel a UFS isn't a UFS with clear window. I know I would buy at least 1 and probably a second if I ever get my hands on another Ody.

Anyone have any tips on creating the coils for the Ody? I can't seem to twist the NR and R wire together efficiently. It always separates or turns into a mess, falls apart, etc... seems like the more I try the more I fail, and I'm about to throw something against the wall.

Try using pliers, i was having problems with it too due to giant fingers. Lol.

I have seen people recommend hemostats (sp) ect. I actually use a leatherman and some flat nosed neede nosed pliers. I start twisting like most people (make a v and twist ect). But once I have it twisted a bit I grab where the 2 wires meet with my leatherman and use the needle nose to twist it more. I then fold the nr wire over grab with the leatherman again (this helps to flatten out the loop) and twist with the needle nosed pliers again. Just a note I only do a 180 degree twist with each grab. So I grab turn 180 degrees let off regrab turn 180 degrees and repeat a few times.

Also I mostly use .236mm Nickel nr wire this method doesn't work well with silver since it is so soft. With this method I have only ever had wires break or seperate when I am pulling a gunked up wire off the wick if there is to much gunk never on first wrap. I have also used crimp beads but I have had my wires break on the wrap or manipulation into the channels so I don't use them as much anymore. (although when I use silver nr wire I do still use beads)

Hope this helps.

Using a hemostat or small vise grip it can be twisted in a flash.

Pliers do help, loft :) sometimes my fingers are too dry and the wires just slip between them and I don't get good twists, small pliers or similar help get a good grip on the wires in this case. Don't worry about crimping or weakening the wires, you don't need to grip them hard, just enough to grab hold of them, but even if you do grip more tightly you shouldn't damage them

I'd buy one. I prefer the clear windows, myself, but it's nice to have a backup that you know won't break or have the threads stripped off of. I'm always worried about over-tightening my clear windows, though I haven't damaged one yet *knock on wood*

Id buy one to. My GG sits in my pocket when I'm busy and clear windows don't last long.

These do look like they would help:

I just use my needle nose pliers and my gerber multitool for most of it. My fingers are too big and don't work well with the little wires.

edit: and I'd buy a SS window for my Ody also :) +1 Imeo make some!please

Ok, I am at a loss. Who has the Odysseus working in UFS mode?

I havent tried it and do not want to take my working Big Mode apart to figure it out if I don't have to.

How does the juice get up into the coil without having to open the mouthpiece/cone? Imeo did not show any specific setup on how to put the 2 small orings in the small slot or show the flow path for the juice in the video.

is there need for a steel window,

what i mean is its already made isn't it.

2 shorty ody tanks with big mode internals, won't that work.

i dont have 2 ody so maybe someone with 2 ody's and upgrade kit can confirm that big mode will work with 2 short ody tanks!

the window has male male threads the bottom piece is female female and the top piece is male female so it won't work however if you had 3 of the Ody short mode bodys it should work female end to connector and just stack them with the male end up all 3 times. although then length would be an issue as the mouthpiece would be to short.

That Upper connection nut is used for Dripping Mode. It is thinner so that it will fit inside the Dripping Cone.

From bottom, left to right, 5th item i think call the upper connection nut is the same as the one we have in the short mode? Is it for e2 or 510atty mode use?
