Iv got the gg base and my first tank with it leaked. Next fill I broke it down and looked at things a little more my issue was that I didn't tighten the rebuildable enough and had a small leak. Made a new coil and wick, tightened it as tight as I could and with four refills no leak at all. With that said all that have leaks take the base off mod and then build it and assemble the lower part as tight as you can get it. juice leak should be fixed.. with 510 base air leak not so much lol

I am also as to curious if these leaking reports are from one base or the other.

Do the 510 Ody base users having leak too, or just GGTS base ody users?

I'm mystified by the leaking, too. Primarily because I'd been doing everything exactly the same way and all of a sudden I was getting massive leakage, which has subsided since I started putting the NR wire over the wick and inside the nut.

I'm using an aluminum GGTS with the 510, no air control, etc. It's the "old" GGTS. I wouldn't elevate my leaking to "an issue" exactly. I'm super happy with m'Ody.

ETA: I have noticed that when I get the most leakage, once I take everything apart to change it out, the bottom nut (the one that tightens around the pin/wire) has unscrewed a bit. I'm not sure how it's managing to loosen, but I've also made a point lately of tightening that with a multitool. Not super-tight, but tighter than finger tight.

critter, thats an issue too buddy. Sometimes we dont screw hard the upper nut that keeps the ceramic housing in place so leakage comes. Thats why I always say that if we follow the videos we will never have a leakage.

Tomorow I will make another video with GGTS base too. Sorry, I forgot to do that today.

Imeo I noticed on one clean and re-assembly that it is actually possible to screw that ring that secures the ceramic housing wrong. I don't know how it seems to jump a thread without damaging the rest of the threads. If that happens when you screw it tight it sits at just a slight angle and causes a leak.

I've never doubted that my leaking was operator error. :)

yes, I agree capt. But its easy to see if you screw it in the wrong way. Just check both slots that ceramic has and the ring while screwing. If you screw it in the wrong way then the slots of the ceramic will not be equal

the leaking issue is weird cause I dont use any wick in my channels at all and I have no leaks and she vapes like a dream.... see

Granted I do this using Nextel XC-116 but using double wick would serve the same purpose...

And it is a good way to save some precious wick, I'll try MrKrinkle's method when my Nextel XS-116 arrives :)

You should be able to do the same thing with double wick and yes it is a very thrifty way to conserve stock wick & Nextel... just make sure your wires are nestled inside the ceramic channels to avoid a short... heres the link to the original thread I posted using the short wick method... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/gg/261773-ody-using-nextel-xc-116-without-moding-ceramic.html hope this helps...

I only had one leakage with Odysseus until now, but it was my fault as I didn't screw in the rebuildable part tight enough.
The GGTS & Odysseus is bonded to my hand, can't put it down ...... :vapor:

Thank you for another nice video, Imeo!

I'm very happy to see your  being fine and playing around. :)

I agree, I crank those parts down so tight I actually hope to myself I get them apart on removal - no leaks yet. Imeo cranks it down hard in video - I do the same. Whatever Imeo does I copy.

What kind of mouthpiece is that? How can i get the same setup or build the same setup? I got my Ody in 3/4 Mode too, but use standart mouthpiece and its a little small^^

I didn't had any leak problems with one wick or double wick, however I just finished one 1.9ohm coil with this method and it works flawless, the difference I've noted was just that I did not had any gurgle like I had some times.

Thanks, I'm vapping my Ody at 3.7V and have a huge vapor and flavor =)

Was there a reason for this killy?:)

(regarding CE2 mode)

My problem was my own fault, I think :) The silicone gaskets on all of my CE2s have been modified for optimal wicking in their original tubes. The enlarged wick slots that I'd made for this purpose caused me some trouble with Odysseus, every time I touched the mouthpiece it would flood on me and juice would run right through it. I do have a few unused CE2s that I haven't modified, yet, so I'll try one of those gaskets next time and I'm sure it'll work better

It's the only mode I've had any leaking issues on to speak of, but like I said I think it was my own fault ;-) I don't plan on using that mode much, anyway, I just wanted to try it and didn't have a rebuildable coil already made up, so I chose that mode to try first. Still loving the big mode, haven't changed out my coil once since setting it up over a week ago and it's vaping beautifully :toast:
