I can say YES in regards to the XC cant tell you in regards to the XS as I myself have yet to use any...
OK. this setup.. is a little unorthodox and I feel it would work.. my experience in making a hybrid wick of Mesh+Wick helped a lot especially abt the shorting part.
I undid the last setup that i got from the tutorial. And looking at MrKrinkle's Nextel short wick, I thought.. hey why not?

It works and doesn't flood. Ok. I am not sure about the Ody 510 Base as im using GGTS base. But no flood no leaks... nada.
LOL my coiling methods are starting to get way out of hand. Im surprised that this works. It vapes pretty well, almost like the previous Hybrid wick setups. Im gonna play with it and see if there is a break in period.

are you running single or dual coil in that set up and at what ohm's/voltage....
Just checked.. Mighty low.. its at 1.2ohm single coil. unless im reading it wrong.

I have coils like that... some kick like a mule and sometimes it kicks like a hamster at first then comes to life all of a sudden... its odd how that works... 1.2ohm to 1.5ohm was my sweet spot when I ran single coils in my iAtty @ 3.7v so were about the same place in taste... Are you still using a wick core in the center of the mesh like the cream filling to a twinkie or is that all mesh??? and it could be possible that its too tight and not letting enough airflow... just throwing out some ideas...
I only messed with the mesh once spent all kinds of time setting it up then went to give it a test fire and my wire melted in an instant... I cursed and put the mesh away never to be used again until now cause you got my curiosity churning....

I trying to buy it by spare, but few things are out of stock:

- Cap
- Small cap
- Short mouthpiece
May be someone can sell it for me? Or shortmode kit

Congratz to you! Iatty and Ody gives you 2 different kinds of experience. There is NO definitely winner here.
The GG family consist of people that prefers either one.

Make sure to pick up the GGTS/ODY base its perfection in connection and you can throw away the cheap 510 adapters... Only reason I parted with my iAtty is because of the 510 connection if the iAtty had its own GGTS base I would still have it...

Yeah that's for sure. I'm using IATTY and FOG for now... and I love them, but for outside and driving my car I wonder to have something shorter + liquid adjustable. So short ODY must be great.

Wrapped around wick, or just mesh and wire?
Would I use the R and NR the same as with wick?
For anyone who may know;
I'm running low on NR wire, are there any US suppliers that carry the 0.2mm Nickel Wire in quantities?
And/or any cheap places to pick up the 30 gauge dead soft silver in quantities?
Received my replacement bottom cap spring, but the last two wicks I made shorted out.
No clue what I did there.
So, as a result my NR supply is shorter than I'm comfortable with.
