The only improvement I see needed on the Ody is the range of the draw. Mine starts at tight even with the air control wide open, so the adjustable air control doesn't get much use as it is. Would be nice to start very loose then tighten as desired.
I see a lot of attys that have too loose or too tight a draw and everyone has their preference so If Imeo could make an atty that covered the whole range of draws, he'd have a MAJOR winner.

Other than that I freakin LOVE my Ody's!

Hey River i dont know if they all are made the same (i assume yes?) but on my ggts i open the air control full before putting the ody and i screw until its tight leaving the cut/hole fully open; if i screw ody all the way in mine looks like the control ring covers a little part of the air hole and these atleast for me makes a difference so maybe you should try it.

I'm going to try enlarging my air opening on the collector tank but I really think the issue resides at the internal diameter of the connector pin. If that could be enlarged then we could have a bigger range from light to tight draw depending on your preference. Then the air control could realize it's full potential.

I have a lot more than that river!
Thanks a lot buddy for your nice words. As for the air draw, you mean with the 510 base?

We cant make a bigger hole on the center post river. But enlarging the holes on the CT maybe will give you a little more airy draw. I dont really know but please make a try if you like:)

Not the 510 base Imeo, both of my Odys have the TS base. And it wouldn't take much to make the draw the way I like it so maybe a little bigger air control opening will do the trick. I will give it a go and post my findings here in the next day or two. I've read some other posts from folks that would like it a bit more air as well so maybe it will help them out too.

I'm looking forward to your latest and greatest Imeo...and I love the new name you've given it...it's a perfect GG name :toast:

Great River, I will wait for your results buddy. And I am glad that you like the name. Ithaka is a combination of Ody and penny and much more of course, so I agree that the name is perfect

What is the Ody GGTS base and the brass pins used for? I have a GGTS ordered and will order Ithaka when she's available for pre-order. Am I going to need the base to get the most out of the combo or is it a replacement part?

~defy

The stock Ody comes with a 510 connection base. The Ody GGTS base is for mating the Ody to the TS collector tank. I would guess that Imeo will make a TS base for Ithaka as well. The brass pin is the part of the button assembly that contacts the brass battery post when you press the button switch to fire your atty. Some previous runs of button switches used a pin of a different alloy and doesn't conduct as well as brass so Imeo is making them available as replacements.

How often do the Ody V2's go on sale? Is there a secret handshake or something? I've been searching the classies (haven't been able to close a deal), checking every online store and am really sad to say these beauties continue to elude me... I feel like Elmer Fudd, "Ahhh, I'm huntin' wabbits...." :(

Thx Kick, I guess the karma gods smile on whiners cause literally 2 secs after I posted I got a PM and made a good deal for a brand new V2 :) Paid a small premium, but can't put a price on a good time (actually I guess you can, but it's worth it). I won't mind waiting on pre-orders if I have something to play with. Really curious about the Ithaka and the VIR (hence the GG thread stalking...)
