Imeo never made a native GGTS base for the Penelope or drip mode but I believe a German guy made them but I have no link for you sadly.

Live? In a video? Thats just too funny, but not really. Well , you will see that the first one came in dented on the connection, and the next one still pretty scratched up too, but besides the superficial problems on all 3 , I could not get any of my 6 rebuildable units to screw down far enough to at least get a couple mm out past the 510 connection. Im sure YOU wont have a problem as you are at least twice as strong as I am without the handicap of my left hand. I had my son try it and He is 6 ft 3 and very strong, he said it was very hard and he probably could have screwed it down, but I didnt want him to force it as I knew that I would not be able to get it off. I am not someone that is helpless and would expect someone to have to screw it down and screw it off everytime.
Im sure you will say that it needs to broken in, but I saw that with the reputation of GG products, that should not be so. What I have always heard since I heard of Golden Greek was that machining and threading was impeccable and flawless and smooth as butter.
Maybe that has changed, but the other bases I have , even the new one I got on the last batch of pre-orders about 6 months ago was as it should, easy to screw in the rebuildable and flawless inside and out.
If you need the video to prove me wrong , have it. All I know is that I and most Golden Greek owners/ fans expect the best of the best and that sub-par is not what GG is supposed to be.
Just to remind you , I did try to clean up the threads by using a high magnifying lens to help me take the burrs out and used a very fine sanding paper to smooth the threads so you will see that they are now smoother than how they came in.

Well, what can I say? Then Im wrong. If you checked it before it left, and I cant get it to go on, then I must be wrong. I am not angry, Im just dissapointed. Like I said, I had an expectation and It didnt meet that. So I guess my expectation must have been too high.
I apologize for complaining in the first place. I will just count myself very fortunate that I have what I have and leave it at that. I thank you for making it possible to have what I think is the best.
There are no hard feelings, I will never "talk bad" about my "precious Odysseus's" or you, even if you are a bit "stubborn" but that same stubbornness and passion is what makes your products what they are.
