This is old school. Iatty and ody. Old school. It's like trying to compare a 60s mustang to what they call one today. You upgrade some performance, change out the carburetor to fuel inject, stick a computer chip in to track it all. Some "features" are cool. But I'll take that 60s mustang over today if I could.

Same thing here. I'll take the ody and iatty over the "features". I can set those up and be in vape heaven any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

This is why I won't be chasing Penelope 2. I left old school for new and improved once. Now the process of elimination has gotten the better of me. I'll stay traditional Penelope. I still can count on that.

Ody should live on forever. But slight delivery change (skinnier mp) would make that flavor POP in it. And that's one thing iatty had. And I'm convinced THAT type of change would definitely help

You can use the telescopic MP. Its inner tube is thinner, similar to the iAtty's. I keep mine short as possible for better flavor, & heat. I remember when I got my Ody the improved air flow, there was so much air. I don't think the iAtty has the air flow the Ody & Ithaka have, adjusting the air draw ring to mimic the iAtty's air flow might have the impact your interested in getting.
I didn't upgrade from v1 to v2 because I couldn't justify the expense. When the Ithaka came out and I checked its ceramic & holder for fit in the Ody, it fits perfectly. I upgraded all my Odys to dual coils. The 2 I use most often sport telescopic MP's.
The way I see it the Ithaka had so many changes, but not all of them were right for me, but several were.
I liked these changes, dual coils, large & small caps.
I did not care about these changes, adjustable center pin ( to long, Odys is much shorter), basic feed ( not needed with the dual coils, dual channel feed), ground side nut (Odys is positive side & much better for me)
So I combined the two together, incorporating the parts I like. I haven't used my Ithaka since. This Ody sports all the functions I like from both GG atomizers.

Poppa did u cut the tail of the ceramic housing on all your ithakas?

Yes I did.
I remove the oring & add a thin plastic spacer between the C housing and the center pin. I put an oring inside the ceramic, under the short nut.
Once its all assembled you will not need the ground ring. The MP will fit snug to the base of the Ody. Provided your plastic spacer is thin. I made my own out of a plastic coffee can lid, just cut a small disc and put a hole in the center.

I use these tank parts in the order, from base to top.
Ody base/Ithaka top tank (ring)/Ody tank/Ithaka large & small caps.
I like the TELE/MP best, due to Its narrow inner tube which I believe creates a venturi just as the vapor reaches your mouth & senses.

Well the 2 c housings are of same size without the tail. So you should be fine. I didn't understand the small plastic. Why don't you use the regular plastic that comes with Ody.

It allows the ceramic housing to go into the base further, giving you the freedom to use the MP with out using the ground ring, snug & leak free.

I get your point now. Smart. But I do believe the ring does something to not unscrewing the housing by mistake when opening liquid control. Maybe it is just a myth imeo started :D

I've done it this way since before the Ithaka, I haven't ever had a problem with any thing getting loose and coming undone. I suppose its a myth, considering the Ithaka doesn't use such a retainer and seems to stay together.

1500 Ody and 4500 Ithakas poppa. I made a lot of Ithakas, thats why they are still in stock. I also wanted my sellers to have plenty of spares to satisfy Ithaka customers
I'm just curious, which atomizer sold better, faster, quantity?
I see there are Ithaka's and some parts still available at COV.

its not a myth aal. I did it to keep ceramic housing in place but also to keep the negative wire in place

IM so glad you didnt sell that perfect Ody, Idaho, I had a feeling you might regret it. For all that keep asking about the Ody expansion bits to use atomizers in the Odysseus, I have a set for the atomizers and Ce2. Its such a beautiful set, Ive tried at least 3 times to sell, but no one ever wants it, but I keep seeing posts with interest in wanting them.

I love the pieces as someone Practically gave them to me, its not really a money issue, but if anyone REALLY needs them and would use them, let me know. I would not want them to get "flipped" for money, I just sometimes feel guilty having them and not using them. Trades for Odysseus bits and pieces are always needed for me, especially a 510 base , an older one

i have a 510 base from a v1, in perfect condition. i need a v2 ceramic housing, any ideas where i could find one, i guess maybe the old stock order imeo is about to start up, id trade if you had and extra

Ring was made first to keep negative wire in place and second to keep rebuildable part in place. But the second reason was not that important, you are right poppa
Yes Imeo,
Like the Ody v2 the Ithaka has a built in ground channel, so the ground nut isn't that important.
