You cut off the small ground extension on the bottom of the Ithaka C holder. Use the dual coil in your Ody instead.Ok. Call me a tad confused. What part of the ithaka is being modded? And this is to use ithaka rebuildable in the ody body?

i have a 510 base from a v1, in perfect condition. i need a v2 ceramic housing, any ideas where i could find one, i guess maybe the old stock order imeo is about to start up, id trade if you had and extra
I made a different pin for the GGTS. This link is to an earlier effort some time ago. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=5313218 Shorter TS w/Ody
I continued to look for a better way to do this short center pin and had break through about a year ago, which I didn't post, it didn't seem to interest to many people. Here is what it looks like.

This is what I used, a #10 x 3/4 copper rivet and a "00" 1/2" faucet washer.

I put them together in the same package for this post.
Since I use mine with my Ody i cut the rivet stem off by inserting it through the washer and cut it off flush with the washer. I hit it with a hammer to spread it out until its snug in the washer. Since its a copper rivet it spreads out evenly. Then I polish it.
With the washer. I score the edge with a blade so that it stays tight in the center hole of the GGTS CT and press it in with my fingers. Insert the rivet center pin and done.
As long as every thing is snug its leak proof, it doesn't have to be overly tight.
This shortens a GGTS by close to an inch, and the JGG by a 1/2" or so.
I hope you like it and please give it a try.
Just wanted to update my situation with the 510 base I got back. Imeo and Vassilis were very kind to take the time in trying to find a fix for it. I got the base back with a smaller o-ring which helped in being able to get the rebuildable unit to screw in lower to make contact with the connection on my PV.
The problem that is still occurs is when I have to remove the rebuildable unit. It is very hard to take it off, and again I have to shred my fingers and resort to using a screwdriver to loosen it. Unfortunately , having to do this results in my positive wire snapping off because the while center pin comes undone too.
I dont know what to say, I cant and wont use it. Not worth the frustration. I know It was tested by both Imeo and Vassilis, I guess I just dont have the strength to do it. I have my sons try and they are 6 feet and big boys and they have trouble. I guess Imeo from working so hard with his hands has a vice grip hand.
There is something in the manufacturing of these last 3 bases I got that is off enough to make it very hard to use. Like I said, I have 4 others, and no problems, I have 6 rebuildable units and they all have problems with this one base.
Again, I just wanted to update, not cause problems. I appreciate all that has been done to find a fix, but it is what it is.
DId I mention how much I love my Odysseus? Its only natural that there would be one "bad egg" in the bunch.
This is old school. Iatty and ody. Old school. It's like trying to compare a 60s mustang to what they call one today. You upgrade some performance, change out the carburetor to fuel inject, stick a computer chip in to track it all. Some "features" are cool. But I'll take that 60s mustang over today if I could.
Im not sure exactly what you mean my not tightened very hard. I use my hand or a delicate jewelry wrench to tighten things down with out doing it so hard that I cant undo things or to break the ceramic. It goes in easy, with the last turn to make sure the center pin protrudes at least 1mm past the end of the 510 connector, that last mm is hard to turn. WIth the standard oring for Ody at the bottom of ceramic housing it would not go in for the last 4mm.
Like I said, I appreciate the help, Im sure I could start experimenting with orings to find the right fit eventually but Its not worth the worry and the search. I already bought a hundred each of the basic orings Ody needs, for me it was hard enough, im horrible with oring size interpretation.
If this was my only Ody, I might of either made it work, or given up on it and given it away. I dont like to tinker and make things work that should work as is, out of the box. I expect heavy duty fixes on cheap atomizers that cost 40 or 50 but an antomizer in the 100 plus, should work without "fixes" I actually paid 250 for my first Ody, with only an extra ceramic. At that time they were rare in the resale market and people asked what they wanted.
Now there are clones, The terminator being extremely well made and with eyes closed you cant tell the difference. The build quality is different, Term might last a couple years, but Ody will survive a nuclear blast.
ANyway, unless someone wants this base to play or mod in a machine shop, it will need to go. I dont want it getting confused with my good ones. It happened yesterday and I shredded my fingers and my wrist is spazing out and Im in a lot of pain.
I thank you again, but too much effort has been spent on "getting " it to work already. I dont need it, I can do with the four I have.
