Ahhhhh, I didnt read that there was no wick in the channels. Thats your problem. Its designed for sending juice down the channels, so its the nature of the beast. Ive heard of people not running wicks down, but I dont understand why and if they had problems with leaking.

I think the problem is the smallest o-ring, at a minimum, in my case. It's compromised: a bit flattened, and a split. I only got 3 of the larger small ones, one of the medium ones, and 2 large ones with it. So I am in need of some, if you would be so kind to get me some, or point me in the right direction. I'll also want to review the documentation to make sure it had been assembled right.

I received a 510 Ody base from Greek seller but it seems to be bigger than the normal one that I've got. Because of this the 510 pin doesn't come out enough to make contact with the mod centre pin unless you have adjustable 510 pin on the mod or it's small enough.
Wondering if any one else has 510 base as big as mine and if it's standard now.

I will say this. A similar issue happened with the iatty. All of the parts from initial run were perfect. But some specs "changed" in post production. And the problem is unfortunately discovered after the fact.
This will be a concern of mine for another run of precious parts. If they come together as a whole, they may be fine. But getting individual one or two here or there seems to be off spec.
I'm hoping any "remakes" are honed to the original specs. These need to be tested.

Just to be clear, I mean no disrespect. I'm hoping the tolerance isn't any different than original runs. Everyone will be ordering parts and everybody wants to be happy happy happy.
Okay, Im sure there are some that are saying "WHY" does she have so many bases? Well Im lazy. I like to have an extra base for each Ody so I can have them ready to pop in without having to clean and dry burn and then put together. I like no down time.
I can then puff while cleaning the coils.
The reason I wanted a 5 base was just because I wanted to make another one with all my parts, bits and pieces.
Yes Im petty, lame and greedy to have a 3rd Ody.
I just want to make sure everyone understands , I LOVE my Odys sooooo much that I have a Penelope on its way. More trouble. Now I need an extra Penny base and rebuildable to have it ready to go at all times.

1. Machine shop always do its job perfectly. There are no differences between batches and all GG constructions are always exactly the same. When you see a difference is because I ask machine shop to make it like this. Even the smallest change is made because I recheck the designs before the new batch and I make very small changes like 0,1mm where an o-ring sits etc. Of course I always check if the changes will work ok with previous batches.
2. Now, about Ody. When ana send me back the bases, I checked threads and I saw that there was no problem with them. But I forgot to check the total length of the bases. Now after ruj post I checked the length and I saw that we have 0,5mm difference. That happened because I made the base of the base 0,5mm fatter to make channels under the base a little deeper. But I forgot that the pin of Ody wouldnt fit well that way. So yes, ana was right from the begining.
As I have said a lot of times in the past, I always try to leave room for bigger or smaller o-rings to avoid issues. So the simple solution is to put a thinner o-ring under the center pin. That means that if you remove the 3x2 o-ring and put a 3x1,5 o-ring , your problem is solved.
Ana, I am really sorry that I didnt manage to see the problem on your bases at once.

It is really noble IMEO from you to admit and apologize. no one expects less from the great guy you are. I know other people who do it discretely and not on forums.

If anyone else has the same problem, I will make new bases for them for free. I only made about 30 of those bases just to have a small stock.

I know with smaller o ring s it will get longer but it is still very hard to screw in. i gave up because it hurts my hands too much.
I tried so much but taking it off was harder because the pos wire would break from the twisting . After buying 200 of original sized orings , then buying a hundred of smalller ones.
it was such a frustrating time feeling like a trouble maker and honestly like some thought i was lame and feeing worse about the pronlems with my stupid failing hands.

Ive been trying and trying , used vaseline, oil, my hands just cant do it anymore. My hands are so messed up they are locked up and its hard to even type.
After all that poor Ana went thru, she deserves a "peneloprize" hint , hint.......

I don't have any small orings and no idea where to get them from. Probably will try ebay lol.
But as Ana said, even with small orings, it's still difficult to screw it in. Not sure if small oring will do the job but will give it a go
