I would recommend AWG 34 Kanthal wire, I've used AWG 34 and AWG 32 in my Phantom-V21 for a year.
For a heating coil in the 1.8Ohm range you'll need 5cm (2") AWG 34 Kanthal. Just twist 1cm NR wire with the Kanthal and use an Ohm meter to find the resistance you need and add a few milimeters, twist the 2nd NR-Wire arund it, done.
For a coil in the 1.8Ohm range you'll end in the 3cm range.
Typical AWG 34 Kanthal: 7-8 Ohm/ft, AWG 32: 12 - 15 Ohm/ft.
The same things said about resistance wires for iAtty should apply for Odysseus also.
For some instructional video, use this one, where Imeo measures the Kanthal in minute 4. It's only in greek, but you'll get the idea.

Or cook it for 10 minutes since using a torch could glaze the wick with thin crust which hinders liquid flow from the wick to the coil.
Yes, Imeo, let us know if there's anything we need to do here, to help Bruce identify and ship to the reviewers. Also, I'd be more than happy to cover his shipping charges (and yours, for that matter), if there's any way to do that.

You go boy!! I did a "rough" measurement of the Nextel and it's 3mm wide. I read somewhere that Imeo said the wick he is sending is 2mm wide but the channel would take 2.5mm wide wick.
I plan on looking to address the issue as well. I still have like 24' of kiln cured wick
Hey fellow reviewers.........I PM'd Bruce that since I had just placed an order he could include my Odysseus in my order to save shipping. Keeps a few bucks in his pocket plus I bought some stuff which furthers his sales.
Maybe since us reviewers are getting an Odysseus to review we could order something (if we needed some other stuff anyway) and that would save Bruce on shipping out the Odysseus to the reviewers at his cost of shipping.
Just a thought.
Well, he can just put it in with the other Odysseus I ordered. Wasn't sure when our review units would come through, and wanted one bad. Now I've got two coming, don't need both. First GG Forum member who missed the preorder that PMs me can have it for cost +reshipping.

If reviewers are getting theres first when can everyone else who pre ordered expect theirs ? Hopefully Bruce can chime in i know imo did he was shipping the order to cov tomorrow is that correct ?
I don't think they are getting them sooner then the rest of us. Unless I read it wrong Imeo will be shipping all of them by courier to the vendors. Now the reviewers might be packaged first or something but I would expect they would all ship within a day or 2 of each other by order of the orders.
I do agree though if the courier taked 4 days and Imeo sends them out today I would expect shippment to customers around the 26th or 27th unless COV is on vacation or something.
