Previouis models have to stay as they are my dear, thats my opinion. But I can make something like an improved Ody with wings on it of course

I thought preorders of all GG items was to give those that love their Ody an opportunity to buy another and for GG newcomers to acquire these out of production devices. I understand the need for these new productions to be somewhat different and assumed that this meant device cosmetics only (wings etc.)
Being part of GG community for some time now and constantly seeing how thoughtful and caring members are I would even venture to say that the people that have an old Ody may not care if you made it exactly as originally produced.
I keep seeing on the forum how Ody is praised over and over again. If it ain't broke why fix it. It must be the specifics of the total package to this original Ody design is why it performs so well and continues to be appreciated by so many.

I continued to look for a better way to do this short center pin and had break through about a year ago, which I didn't post, it didn't seem to interest to many people. Here is what it looks like.
This is what I used, a #10 x 3/4 copper rivet and a "00" 1/2" faucet washer.
I put them together in the same package for this post.
Since I use mine with my Ody i cut the rivet stem off by inserting it through the washer and cut it off flush with the washer. I hit it with a hammer to spread it out until its snug in the washer. Since its a copper rivet it spreads out evenly. Then I polish it.
With the washer. I score the edge with a blade so that it stays tight in the center hole of the GGTS CT and press it in with my fingers. Insert the rivet center pin and done.
As long as every thing is snug its leak proof, it doesn't have to be overly tight.
This shortens a GGTS by close to an inch, and the JGG by a 1/2" or so.

To use the 8mm UFS AD ring. I have older GGTS CT and they were all drilled not slotted, with 4 holes. I drilled the 4 holes out to 1/16" which allows plenty of airflow using the wider ring. The wider ring is better looking, to me any way.

I agree, I thought Ithaka was the improved Ody, so why bring back Odysseus with changes? Again, those are Imeos decisions. Im sure there are many that would like another Odysseus just like the one they got 2 years ago. If they want upgrades then get Ithaka.
Wings are the only thing that Odysseus should have and deserves, especially these days where "clones" are so rampant. I myself would love to proudly show off my Odysseus in its own native tank with the Golden Greek wings. I know I can have it engraved by someone, and I guess I might have to.
The Ithaka body parts are nice , but people always ask " how do you like Ithaka?" I have to say, no its an Odysseus. WHen I use its original parts, I get "oh how do you like your Terminator?" I am not insulted or embarrassed on either, I just would like it to have its own WIngs, no GG initials or numbers, just the wings like Penelope.
Anyway, Im proud to use my Odysseus and love it just as it is. I like the lack of plastic other than orings and the little disc between the post. I had an accidental 45min firing , long story... but both my PV and Odysseus were un-harmed because both had no plastic to melt.
Alright I think Ive said enough, but I think the point is , I love Odysseus and I know many that feel the same way about it, and would love for it to stay the same inside and out, especially the top caps, but wings would be cool.
