So just got to use my ody in medium mode with the telescopic mouthpiece, working out great and looks awesome.

Any chance when new short mode steel tanks are made could also make the the metal piece that replaces the short mode tank to use with extensions? Really wouldn't mind getting two more for my other odys.

Hey Ana, it is the telescopic mouthpiece for ithaka, but I put it on my ody so as to use it in a different size configuration.

Lets see if the picture works

posting here and on ithaka thread

Ok time to tell you my story regarding the Odysseus and Ithakas. It may be a little long, but it is important for me to lay it out there.

Like many I collected a lot of mods during the first year and now wonder why. But in any case, the hunt for mods is down unless there is new technology that comes out or something really attracts me to buying another mod that I do not need.

I also tried lots and lots of atomizers, cartomizers and tanks, rebuildable attys, replaceable atty’s, genesis types RBAs and the GGs rebulidables. So after almost 2 years, the big thing for me is trying lots of juices. I have maybe 8 to 10 that I like a lot and maybe 4 or 5 that I REALLY like, out of maybe a hundred or so that I have sampled.

Every once in a while I will taste a juice and get quite excited then go buy 30 to 50ml depending on the vendor size available. It is such a pleasure to find a juice that makes my top list of flavors.

Now to the story. When the juices I sample do not make my favorites list, I send them to my son to save him money and to give him the opportunity to try different juices. On more than 2 occasions, I stumbled on a juice that was awesome and I ordered more. I came to find out that the juice I ordered as one of my new favorites was previously a reject that I sent to my son. The only difference was I was sampling the juice in either an Ody or Ithaka and it became one of my favorite juices!

Seems like I need a dozen more Ody’s or Ithaka’s so I only test juice where I know the flavor will be as it should.

Thank you Imeo for treating us to the best.

I agree wholly, Mike. I have 2 Odys filled at all times, now a Penelope V1. You might think of finding an Ody dripper top and base. Its great for testing flavours out before filling your Ody with a tank. Another way to test is to just drip on to your Odysseus with out the tank. Just put the mouthpiece on after saturating your wick and you can get an idea of the taste.

The dripper is great to use for those "dirty" juices that mess up your wicks before emptying. This is how I use my NET tobaccos now.

Ody dripper top fits perfectly on your Penelope Base Ana. Glad you got the P1 - to my eyes and opinion - its the best one. then again, I wish more people would discover the UFS, if I could only have one of Imeos tanks - UFS V1 it would be - With Imeos SS mouthpiece

Second that. UFS is underrated. Works with everything, atomizers, cartomizers, rebuildable atomizers and not to forget Ody. Air control plus liquid control plus collector tank. What do u want more?

I think underrated is missleading wording - in my opinion but a bit out of style these days.
There are so many new rebuildables hitting the market every month and only few people vape 510/910 atties or cartos. And most of those who do usually are not into GG. In former times this was quite different.

For me the UFS is an important milestone in the GG history. Looking back there is a long series of evolution of tank systems, starting from a plain tank and then adding features like air control, liquid control, "native mouthpieces" and the possibility to add your own Drip Tip if you like.
Its technique is sophisticated and still easy if you follow some basic rules.
Together with the TS it builds a great hybrid device (my first GG combo).

But yes, I agree with everything else you said! :)

i know we have moved on but with 2 great years with ody v1 used everyday with silica or cotton,
today first time with ss mesh only, at 1.0 ohm filled with el toro perique, this looks like a permanent set up for me, fantastic vape,
did i say i love my ody,:)

You cant get parts for them. That is why people are moving on. I have an Oddy V2 with a damaged center pin post and it sits in my drawer collecting dust because I cannot use it. Why would I want to buy another when the same thing could happen?

As for the warranty.... I contacted IMEO about getting another one and he informed me he did not have any. What good is the warranty if he does not have the part. Obviously I would gladly send 10 Eur for the part. When I PM'd IMEO he referred me to a release thread ... no mention that it was covered under warranty or to send him anything.

Here is the warranty from COV website:
The GG (Golden Greek) Mod Warranty

COV does not accept regret returns for the GG line of products. If there is a problem/defect with an item you purchased please contact us for support options.

Official GG Warranty

Every GG product (except those clearly labeled otherwise) has a life time warranty.

This warranty applies to all GG products both brand new and second/third hand.

This warranty covers all situations (user’s fault, manufacturing fault etc) and it starts from the first day that user receives the unit.

The only thing required from the user is to send 10 euros per faulty part to the manufacturer to cover the shipping cost and the manufacturer will ship a new part to the user.

In case of problem with a new unit, first contact the supplier you’ve bought the unit from. Otherwise contact Imeo for details.

I've never had 1 V2 pin break in the year Ive had Odysseus"s , and that was a recent purchase ed of a used one. It looked very worn.

I have had V1 pins break because they were made of plated brass, brass is soft.

For some reason COV was only sent v1 pins and only ESmoke Guru had the hood V2 pins .

imeo said he would only make the V2 pins from now on, I hope that is remembered. I wish i had an extra one I could send you. It is my favorite atomizer and I hope I Have the funds when he does a run of Ody parts. I hope to be able to use them till too old to set it up.

I will post photos of the difference between V1 and V2 pins, basically the good V2 pin is straight with no indents on long part of pin leading to end of contacts.

Thank goodness, when I hear posts like above it makes me sad, because even though the Odysseus V2 has been replaced with the beautiful Ithaka, it still seems to hold first place in many a GG lover. It is simple and easy to set up. Its nearly flawless, at least in my mind. I hope Smokke can get some new V2 center pins so he can enjoy it at least for a decade to come.

Now I just hope I have enough money to get enough parts :)

Really the Odysseus is so well made that the only weak part is the center pin. I just hope the V2 center pin stays solid SS. THe old V2 nickel plated brass is weak because of the cut/ indents on the shaft and the plating comes off easy. Rest of the bits and pieces are made strong and dont see them ever breaking. Only thing that can go wrong is to have them fly out of my clumsy fingers and going down the drain. :)
