Ody v1 in long mode and ody v2 short mode are my all-day, everyday vapes. My 3 Ithaka are great, but I am thinking of putting the ithaka rebuildable in an ody base and use the top caps from ithaka to make my own hybrid rba tank combining the best of both atties IMHO. I just cant stand that basic feeding piece lol. Anybody try this yet? I can't until I empty one of the odys but it seems it would work based on other parts compatibility; i.e. - mouthpieces are interchangeable (so ceramic housings must be same diameter and threading) and tank pieces must be interchangeable as well (since ithaka window works with ody).

I've done it and it makes the Ody work very well, its my daily device. I did it to all 5 of my Odys, but only 2 are used daily.

There is a way to put Ithaka's rebuildable (without BF) in our Ody's bases, and without replacing the center post.
I cut the Ithaka's center post with a dremel but it needs a small angled cut so it can breath.

I also had to use the upper connection nut of Ody

because otherwise the mouthpiece is a little shallow if you want to totaly close it.

It works perfect!! :)

I've never had 1 V2 pin break in the year Ive had Odysseus"s , and that was a recent purchase ed of a used one. It looked very worn.

I have had V1 pins break because they were made of plated brass, brass is soft.

I will post photos of the difference between V1 and V2 pins, basically the good V2 pin is straight with no indents on long part of pin leading to end of contacts.

Here are the pics (v1 on right, v2 on left)
Also, on mine, they are all plated brass. The second pic shows the plating worn off the bottom of the v2 revealing the brass underneath.

Thats funny because I brought this up a while ago. I notice that my V2 were getting brass color and Imeo stated that the V2 were solid stainless steel and that was the big difference in price. Have you tried cleaning them with a ss cleaner? I was assured they were supposed to be solid stainless.

PS. Mine will rust an end look just like that. I clean them with autosol the brass tone goes away for about 2 weeks but get rusty again.

Only 2 of my V2 center pins do that, so Im wondering if the quality of stainless steel is different?

Okay, gotcha. Ill try that. I honestly haven't cleaned them with anything more than soap or alcohol. And I have 5 v1s, and none of them have the plating worn off there either so that makes sense.

Quick question, what size is the o-ring for top cap of oddy?

Thanks

those are 9mm x 2mm, I get mine on Ebay and on Amazon. Then you can also get them at O-rings and more.com

It was hard for me to figure it out, but then again, im kinda math handicapped. I think the ones I got from ebay ended up being from Orings and more.

Here is my wish list, I cant remember where the list is Imeo posted : I also just saw on another thread that these wont be "pre-orders"? which means that it will probably sell out before I can get what I need:(

Penelope V1 center post x 2

Penelope ceramic housing x 2

Penelope base x 1

penelope ceramics X3

Odysseus center post x 4

I think Imeo posted that he was not going to make the Penelope ceramic housing, but now I really need one. I went to change out the ceramic and it was fused to the housing, dont ask me how , but it would not come out, You would swear it was glued. But in trying to remove the cracked ceramic my ceramic housing got cracked. It works okay, but it whistles now because the stainless steel housing is bent on the bottom so the ceramic is not sitting flush.

Please Imeo if you can I need a penelope ceramic housing and I would love a base too.
