My USPS tracking says my Ody is "Out for Delivery". Sweet!! Mailman doesn't come until 4-430PM so I have to wait until then. This is another one of those times when I wish I was at the beginning of my postman's route and not the end.

I may also have an "extra" Odysseus that I will let go to a family member here on GG. I had already ordered my Odysseus' when I found out that the samples were still going to be sent out. Didn't want to miss out so I stalked COV and got my order in right after Bruce posted them. I'm a cautious fellow in that way.

Anyway my over ordering will now be someone's belated Christmas present. I know there were several regular family members here who missed out on the Odysseus.

Some of the names of folks first on my mind who I had been talking to about Ody were: Ace73, Rick45, Major, Fright, Blackwater, Torqueguy, Vapor, Poppa, Chaos, and a few others. I haven't read alot of forums these last several days what with the holiday and all. A quick peek at the forum here and it seems all these folks already have at least one Odysseus either on hand or in-bound. Don't know about Major for sure. I read that he didn't get one but he recently may have?

Anyway, barring some weirdness with my orders where they aren't complete, I'll have a complete Odysseus to offer.

Since the first run is gone, and many have been talking very highly of Odysseus, I should be able to at least double my money for the Odysseus, right? LOL. Inside joke. Odysseus will sell for regular price. ;)

give it a good clean first @Vaporologist

Oh, I did. Thank you... Took it completely apart and gave it a good soap and toothbrush bath as I always do with new PV equipment. After it completely dried, I applied Vaseline to all appropriate threads and o-orings.

The initial setup was very simple just as expected. I already had the NR/Kanthal wire prepped to 1.4 ohm so that obviously save me a couple of minutes. Being able to follow Imeo's instructions from his videos was a major plus and made the whole setup process a breeze.

My initial thoughts after using it for a couple of hours are that the ODY in the Mini Mode is a fantastic rebuildable atty! In fact, it is my favorite from a few others I've tried. There was obviously a lot of thought put into designed it and and it is built extremely well IMO. Very nice work!

The only thing I'm not too crazy about is the wick that it came with. It fits perfectly into the ceramic cup and it's very easy to work with but I don't like the flavor it provides so much. Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible, it's just not as clean tasting as I would prefer with more delicate juice flavors. It does taste fine with stronger tobacco juices.

I tried using the xc-116 but didn't have any luck. Looks like some modification will be necessary. Here is a picture of the new ODY wick (top) and xc-116 (bottom):

I would love it if we could have ceramic cups with wider slots to work with the nextel wick... But I'm not sure if that's possible or not.

But overall, I'm very happy with the ODY and it was certainly worth the wait!!!

Take the XC 116 and un-braid it, use as many strands as you need to use it in the Odysseus.

I got my Odysseus, SS Stealth cap, iAtty SS mouthpiece, iAtty base replacement (new design, it has a ridge like the Ody).

Side by side with the iAtty, with very little time on the Ody, maybe later, to soon for comparison.
