Okay guys, I'm sure this is a noob question but I haven't really noticed it until now. I am using the stock wick and on my last coil, the only difference was I used brother Fright's buffer method with it. Worked a charm and haven't gotten a dry hit so thanks Fright!

One thing I have noticed though is that the wick itself is burned black at the point the coil wire contacts the wick. I am not prepping the wick with a pre-burn but did I wrap the coil too tightly to get the charring or is that just a side effect of no pre-burnin that I didn't notice until now?

Thanks! :)

Yes this is normal. Some people have had good luck with dry burns but for me it never seems to get cleaner so I torch it to get it clean again.

Does it look kinda like this?

It's normal Major (at least for me) Mine looks nearly as bad as frights when I go to change it. I don't much do the dry burn thing, I don't even clean my wick anymore, just throw em away and make a new one. I know I could be more frugal, and I was for a very long time, I could make an inch of wick last me 4 weeks. Once I costed out how much each one actually costs me, I realized throwing them away is an ok thing too :)

a. 16/1,5 (2). The one around the base, the other around the neck of the body where the big cap goes
b. 9/2. Between caps
c. 2/1,78 or 1,78/1,78. between the metal part that holds the ceramic and center pole
d. 3/2. Under the nut that holds the positive wire

then have been installed to me wrong O-rings
because c + d are the same

Yes, it doesnt belong to Ody in short mode. It belongs to other Ody modes. I will make a complete list of o-rings when the rest of the parts will be available gredie
I just found I miss an o-ring. LOL

At page #56 (?) Imeo mentioned one 11/1 (2) which is listed at the wiki too.
Should i remove this from "Odysseus short mode" chart at the wiki?

Imeo mentioned that he ran out of the smaller o ring so replaced it with the larget but that it should still work just fince since it's sole purpose is to isolate the center post from the threaded ceramic body.

I was running out of 1,78 o-rings net so I put a 3/1.78. Its not a problem of course. I just wanted to give the right dimentions of o-rings here

So I had the first time the O-ring squeezed together, but still it is nothing on the sides swell out.
The Ulysses tasted wonderfully delicate and delicious, then I smelled the perfume, previously had a slight cold, then I broke down and Odysseus placed in milk.
With the current assembly I've built the pure O-ring loose, not so pinched, strangely enough, it tastes now fully Tarnave.
Short-term remedy to rotate only the mouthpiece, but a short time later Tarnave taste.
Conjecture: the fact that he was not crushed, everything increased by approximately 1mm, it may be due.

Netttrax, i don't think that you get a burnt taste with Odysseues caused by screwing the pin into the ceramic a bit less to avoid too much squeezing of the o-ring. Yes, the assembly may get a bit higher, but i can't imagine that this is causing burnt taste as long as your wick is long enough on both sides.
I suggest checking the amount of liquid and/or the liquid control (mouthpiece), second check resistance and coil/wick.
