I didn't use milk but I can say there was some black gunk on the ceramic between it and the metal. So I would try it without removing the ceramic and if the taste doesn't go away try to carefully remove it.

Ill probably just vape it until the soap taste goes away, gg parts are quite rare in canada. we do have a gg supplier but unfortunately, we dont receive as many supplies as the rest of the world.

I usually hang out on the batt modders sub thread but I got one of these just the other day from Daniel @ Gentlemen's Reserve and just had to comment on this thing...I normally reserve judgement till after a good trial period but wow!, this is without a doubt the best investment I've made into vaping...it's tweekability, it's reliability, it's toughness...I'm now completely rethinking my future mod designs...because I'm particularly brutal on gear I make a mods that have atty's, carto's, fluxo's, (whatever I was enamoured with at the time) recessed inside the box/or whatever (not real big on tube mods, it's just a personal form factor thing)...batts, switches, meters and regs come and go, moving forward, it's all about the Ody and what I can fit it into...Imeo should have made a .... ugly cast iron version so I wouldn't feel so guilty burying it in a box with a bunch of electronics...well done.

So, I've got really big hands and fat fingers - been having trouble twisting these tiny little wires together. What are these 'beads' I see people talking about? Do they make connections easier and/or better? Drawbacks?
crimp beads imo are awesome, but next i'm gonna try the 1x2, the 1x1's are quite fiddly, its probably more faff than twisting, but done right its more versatile and neater.

what i do is put a tiny hook in the ends of the wire, hook em together then crimp over the joint

Thanks for the welcome Imeo and "likes" guys...this is what I was talking about, 18650, switch, Ody, rough, nasty, crude...and gets the job done, when you're in and out of a truck that's filled with empty coffee cups, laptops, phones, const. drawings, etc. I don't really have any choice. I know this has probably been asked tons by now but...as you can see, I could really use the big mode kit (maybe a put an LED in the mod that back-lights through the tank, you know, show it off a little bit, lol), any time line?

100% agree. Now I have to give another try to the crimping beads but this time with the 1x2 ones.

Thanks Oddy great job.

Ok, here's a stupid question..... do the crimp beads "burn"? Or just a more solid way to attach the wires together?
Looks like something I may want to try with my not-so-very-pretty coil skills.

Edited to add: Can the same ones be used over and over for new wicks?

Hold the phone! You can re-use coils? Please tell me how - just unwrap carefully and put on a new wick??

Hi Yeti, yes, like that, just unwrap carefully and use on a new wick. In my experience sometimes the coil just breaks when wrapping to the new wick, it must be due the use (getting hot and cold, hot and cold), I know after some use, the coil electrical / mechanical properties could change, increasing the resistance for example. But I have re-used many coils :)

Or you could use the method of making a coil and install the wick on top of it (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/gg/218019-vv-ggts-ftw-14.html#post4937446), it allows an easy way to change the wick without unwrapping the coil.

After 10 days socializing with the Ody, I can say I'm impressed!
Every day I change the setup, because I want to enjoy all the flavors. Maybe you could every other day, but I want only the best for me. I tried the dual coil setup on 0.9ohm and I will try again, but this is not for every day. From day one, stacking setup I was not a problem thanks to the excellent Imeo video. Now setup can make your eyes closed, although it is not necessary. Ody does not make sense to compare with other atty, because it really does not compare. What Ody rises to the top of the current range, a constant equal to the power of aroma and vapor through the day. Before Ody I already after noon, he lost the taste and aroma vapor has become more a habit than enjoyment. Although I tried to make several types of setup, I chose kantal 0.20mm and 1.5-1.7ohm. This gives GGTS or GG Stealth gives you a very pleasant and easy vaping at 3.7V. Almost unbelievably, because I have so far loved HV devices atty. I am happy because I finally vapor becomes an absolute delight. What Ody with me putting in the first place, that we are already the fourth day matches the same flavor. It was not possible before, every other day I changed the flavor. Maybe too much talking in broken English, Ody speaks all languages, and let each of us tells a story :vapor:

Wow Oddy, I'm interested in trying the 1x2 crimp beads!

I assume that these are 2mm in diameter?... which crimp tool do you recommend using?
