Bottom of new center pin? Just a guess from the pics since I won't have mine till tomorrow.

I think the newer smaller ones are for the center pin fright88, I used them on mine.

Yup I think you guys are right. I don't see an o'ring in the videos but now that you mention it the base of the pin could short out on the body if there isn't any insulation there.

Mine leaks on Big Mode :(:(:( did you do something special to it??

Leaking from where, Six?

Mine leaked when I first filled it, down into collector tank.

I removed the connector, cleaned it up, reassembled and it worked perfect after that.

I think it was the air pressure at first fill that did it.

I'm using the Ody GGTS base, btw.

It leaks on the center pin.. That's what I thought at first, but emptied it out and it still leaks even the mouth piece and CR are still fully closed..

Btw, I use the GGTS Base as well.. I've put it back to small mode with the same coil and everything, the leaking is gone...

I don't know if you have any extra o-rings available but I put on an extra 3x2 o-ring on the pin and a 12x2 on the ceramic holder between the base and the negative nut and I have no leaking.

I have none, but will consider of getting some if harekira's suggestion won't work.. Where do you put the 3x2, right next to other one by the tip after the nut??

Yes this pretty much guarantees that there is a good seal between the pin and the base. It isnt realy required as just sliding the o-ring down a bit is usually enough but not I know it won't leak around there if I forget to slide the o-ring down.

I don't normally slide the o-ring down before I got the expansion kit, but does the o-ring suppose to sit right on the groove?? If so, I guess I've been very lucky all this time for not leaking then.. I think the expansion kit comes with that small o-ring that comes with the other pin.. I'll use that for now, until I figure out what's the other center pin is for.. :p

I love our humble GG community as I love my SSGGTS. Thanks for continuos support!!!!

If you slide it down to much it can cause issues with the posative nut loosening I have had this happen twice which is why I Ike having a second o ring. The one for the other pin should work nicely.

I simply used two small ones, no idea what size (and actually it doesn't matter, as long as they sit tight) - one was from a CE3 Smokymizer and the other one from one of the GG O-Ring Sets.

I didn't have to use them in the Short Mode, but to me they were essential in the Big Mode, since I couldn't stop the leakage with any other method (double wick, 3 x wick). Now everything is perfect.

Some users in the German forums also had problems when refilling the first time in Big Mode. Not an issue with this solution.
No gurgling either.

Six2arms, I had the same problem as you exactly. With the center screwed down all the way, and the mouthpiece closed fully it was literally dripping out of the center hole in the pin. It also wasn't doing it in small mode. I increased the wick size to make sure that the channels are completely filled, (I had been cutting mine a bit short) Now if works properly... and haven't lost a drop.

I haven't had to try the Oring solution, and I am not going to, if I don't have to ;) I would try making sure your wick is a little long on each side. I've noticed if it doesn't fill the channel the extra pressure of a giant tank full of liquid it will leak. I fixed mine last night, and it's still wonderful this morning (I didn't even close the liquid control before bed) still dry as a bone in there (how dry are bones?)

@Rick.45cal - the double-wick worked fine for me until I had to refill ... after refill I had 5ml of juice dancing happily on the table.
Why fiddling around, when you have an easy solution.
Just watch this video from minute 4:00 Video 390 - YouTube , with the O-Rings you don't have those problems.

Add: unless you are a juice vendor ...

Huh, I'm not having any leaking whatsoever now.

I literally took my coil fixture out of the old base, cleaned it , put in a new coil/wick and installed it in the new base.

Same setup as the old base and no extra o rings needed.

I simply just screw the housing down to engage the post o ring snugly and it was good to go.

I do leave the wick longer to make sure there is plenty in the base reserve and that the ceramic channels are filled where they descend into the base.

Other than that I'm not doing anything really special and at a loss why it is not working the same for others? :(
