Oh I just heard that there are specific materials that people use but are not healthy as you inhale some stuff but again it's just something I heard. In other words there are materials that you can use for the wire but it's not recommended as they release "something" when heated.

Again though it's me the newb saying.

@Mac hope someone can help this guy I have the soapy taste too even though I cleaned it a trillion times.

I just boiled mine for a few minutes in water.. Took the smell and taste right out..

hey guys,

just got my upgrade kit. Assembled it with a 510 cisco. Now I'm not sure how to use it. Do I have to screw the mouthpiece up and down to feed and stop feeding? To feed the atomizer it seems I have to screw it all the way up, which floods the atomizer and if I keep it that way it starts leaking from the bottom.

You're right about the function of the mouthpiece.

There is a video about using a 510 atty in Odysseus Odysseus with 510 atomizer inside (English)

All links to videos about Odysseus are listed at the wiki Odysseus - E-Cigarette Wiki
and in this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/gg/237105-instructional-how-video-links-gg.html :)

Mac,
What are you using to "flame it" with? There's a wide variance in heat produced from different devices, is it getting hot enough to turn red? Since its ceramic it can take most any temperature heat you can put on it, don't hesitate to use a propane hand torch on it.
I assume you have it removed from the metal holder when you "flame it"?

PoppaD, yes I completely removed it from the housing. The only clean blue flame I have is a bernzomatic wireless soldering one. So I can throw alot of heat and I wont damage it?

Its fireproof, nothing to worry about.
right on, I boiled it bc I ran out of butane. Gonna run and get some more. It is actually not as bad but still needs to be treated.

I'm not seeing where Imeo has any type of o-ring or seal on the bottom of the center post when he is setting up for E2 mode. What is sealing off that area against leaks? I'm not seeing anything. Also noted he didn't use the ring nut to keep the center post and it's assembly secured.

I put a 3/2 o-ring on the bottom of the center post to make sure I don't have any leaks and used the ring nut to secure the center pin/assembly. Probably don't need that last piece but I went to the trouble to add an o-ring so thought I'd go all the way.

I had the misfortune of tearing the smallest o ring (user error) for use with the UFS mode, and quickly discovered that it is smaller than any other that I have.
I realized that a normal atomizer with similar size inner post would likely have a silicone seal that I could replace it with, I was correct. I broke down a 306 atty, popped out the post, and there was my seal to replace that tiny o ring.

just put wire inside channels and double the wick king
So whats the best way to prevent leaks for long mode? Double wick down the channels, negative wire touching the inside of top locking nut, o-ring between top locking nut and base? I don't have any SS mesh to try Imeo's last video solution, also can an unmodified ceramic channel fit 2 strands of wick? My expansion pack is waiting for me at home, and wanted to prevent any leaks on my first build.

Thanks

did you put the 6x1,5 o-ring around the threads of the CE2 atomizer repent? If not, it will leak of course
OK so I'm going to try UFS mode. What was the deal with the o-ring? Searching for that reference. Didn't see it on the wiki. Will have to look again.

Didn't care for E2 mode at all. Nothing but leaks down the center pole and lots of flooding.

you use Ody with the short mode mouthpiece, right fright? And you have remove the 3x2 o-ring that was sitting under the pin. You just put only the tiny 2x1,78, yes?
ok so I put my v2 UFS extension onto my UFS and I have the Ody inside. Ody is in small dripping base with a 004 o-ring in the channel in the center pin.How far is everyone filling the tank? Are you filling up to the top, so that the coil is under the juice?

Another learning curve with this "wonderful little thing" Ody.. I had another leaking issue in a Big Mode even with an o-ring between the center nut and the base (and of course, a user-error for sure). Spent couple of hours fixing it, but won't stop. Finally gave up for the night.. Put it down and told myself to deal with it in the morning. I just don't want to start all over again, since I made a perfect coil for me at the moment. As I was laying down, thinking "what's the purpose of having an Ody, if I would stick in Big Mode, as there's no way I would be vaping 7ml tonight??" Hhhmmmm, decided to slice it down to short-mode. Problem fixed!! No leaking at all.. 3ml is good enough until I fall asleep vaping..

Thanks again Imeo! I started my weekend happy after a long-busy-week working.

Still having problems with 510 big mode. I now assembled it the right way with all o-rings installed, but now it doesn't feed at all anymore even with juice control fully open. I lined up the 510 holes with the two cuts, which means it isn't screwed in tight. Could that be the problem? If I screw it in tight the holes barley show in the upper corners of the cuts.
