so kinda a newb, but does any one have a link to where I can reserve a penelope...I have paid at COV

Hey Viper.
There was a list to reserve a number for Proteus. I believe that list is closed.
Penelope is not numbered, and if you have already paid for one penelope, one should be shipped to you when they come in.
That was a pre-order.

Proteus will be in later.

Yes viper. 2 devices. Get Penelope and then get proteus. You can use Penelope on any 510 mod though.

Ok, I also just bit the bullet and ordered the Penelope. Pre-ordered the Ody few days ago... just couldn't resist grabbing the Penelope while I had my chance. I'm sure I've made the right decision. Although my poor bank account is hurting, I'm sure it'll be more than worth it in the long run :) I believe I made the right choice acting now. Now then... guess I better invest in the GGTS when they arrive at COV again :)

Safe to assume that the wire and wick for Penelope will be the same as Ody? I currently have Nicrhome 32,34,36 and Kanthal 32 and 34 plus Silver and nickel wire for the no res. Really need to figure out a place to stock up on wicking. I'm still totally new to the RBA world.

Can't wait to join the GG family!

P.S. please don't tell my lady friend, or single I shall be!

Ty, the best thing in the world you could do is buy a GGTS. Your Odys will vape even better on a GGTS using the Odys GGTS specific base. You will be able to use draw control which is epic.

Here's a question that's a little off the current topic, maybe someone can shed some light on.

I've been having leaking with my Ody in large mode.
After numerous tank fulls and careful examination, I believe my original knurled ring (that goes over the wick and wire) was just a smidge crooked. Literally. No matter how I put it on, there was just a hair difference on one side that kept it from being flush.
Also, the small knurled ring that goes on the bottom of the center post would come loose and the center post would come out.

I have replaced with new:
the small knurled ring, the ceramic, the metal part that hold the ceramic in, the center post, the small knurled ring at the bottom of the center post, and that o-ring. (not the ceramic housing, but the rest of those small parts.)

I believe I have everything tight when I put it all together, but I'm still getting some leaks in large mode.
Yesterday, after watching more videos, I had filled it as full as possible and no leaks for quite some time.
Until the liquid got down some.
So....

I took the tank part off and that little knurled ring at the bottom of the center post had worked loose again.

Not touching it after it's filled, except loosening the juice control a couple of turns, why would this ring work loose?
I screw it on until my fingers hurt, and it's just sitting there, but what could cause this and how do I fix it?

It may not be the end solution to my leaks, but I'm thinking it may go far in fixing them.
Any ideas on this?

I am about 90% sure that ring is coming lose when you unscrew the ceramic housing off the base. I have had this happen to me and must say it hapens most when I tighten the ceramic housing down very tight. What I think is happening is the rubber o-ring is catching the nut and when you unscrew the ceramic housing the o-ring being tight on the base is staying put till enough pressure is released and it is holding the small nut in place thus unscrewing it.

As for your leaking issue sadly I have no answer. I have leaking myself but have verrified it is from juice over wicking and dripping down the center post. usually happens when I leave my juice controll open for a long period while not using my GG.

I may have to disagree with you....
I don't know though.

I don't believe I have anything "overtight".
Maybe I do, and it's causing that small nut to come loose during "normal vaping use"?

I don't have any gurgling/leaking right now, but will see when the juice level gets down to about half way.
That's when it's been starting to leak, and when I take apart to check, that little nut is loose.

So.... I'll vape it down some and see what's going on then.
Maybe next fill I won't make it as tight and see what happens.

Awww the mid way leak syndrome... thats when the pressure bubble pops and leaks down the center pin... I am usually able to avoid this by closing the juice control at mid juice point holding the ODY upside down then cracking open the juice control... then close the juice control tilt back upright vape till it gets dry then open the juice control till it vapes oh so nice again... this usually releases the air pressure and avoids any leakage...

Over tight may be the wrong word. However unless you are spinning the ceramic housing when you adjust the juice controll there is no way for that nut to become loose. There are no moving parts below the housing and the act of tightening the housing to the base will if anything tighten the small nut not loosen it

See, that's what I was thinking. Partly anyway.
That there are no moving parts, so how is it coming loose?
Just as I was making dinner, got the mid way leak again, tipped everything upside down and took the bottom off.
Lo and behold that darn little nut was loose again.

Tightened everything back up. Little more than finger tight, not as tight as I would usually do.
I've had one or two small gurgles since, but so far so good.

It doesn't feel like I'm moving the ceramic housing when I open the juice control.
And... I don't usually move the juice control while I'm vaping.
First fill and refills is usually about it.

Well see what happens when the juice goes down further.
May be trying MrKrinkle's trick a little later. LOL

Clouds of vapor is showing both ody and Penelope in stock... Perhaps theyll actually ship today if we preordered?

Imeo said in another thread he will ship Ody to resellers on Monday and Penelope a week later. So I wouldn't expect ody to ship from Bruce till late next week or early the following. And Penelope about a week later.

I'm also hearing that the Ody I ordered will be a version 3? COV's site states it as the i Atty V2. Are the V3's the ones being sent to suppliers from Imeo on Monday? Would be a nice surprise to have the latest version when I only expected the V2. What's the improvements over the V2? Thanks! The next couple weeks can't come fast enough. REALLY excited.

It's kind of confusing! The Odysseus is V2 of the iAtty, but this is the second version of the Odysseus. So, you could see it as the iAtty V3 or as the Odysseus iAtty2 Version 2.

Regardless, it will be the new version that you receive. The changes are primarily in the ceramic and ceramic housing in regards to how the wire on one side grounds out. You won't need to screw it into the locking nut, anymore. Instead, the ceramic housing comes up the channel of the ceramic and grounds the wire out just by running it through that channel.

Gotcha, thanks! Either way, I can't wait to try both the Ody and Penelope. Hoping that COV gets wick in when the Ody/Penelope arrive. Seems like an important piece of the puzzle, wouldn't want to run out :) Do the wicks usually last quite awhile? Or should they be changed out every time a new coil is constructed?

I change wicks every time I change coils, but I doubt you absolutely have to. I use 100% VG juice, though, so mine get pretty gunked up after about a week and a half.
