I have a slight issue when refilling my ODY in medium Mode.
I always refill before it gets empty, and whenever i refill I loosen the small top cap, remove the tank cover and drip in till it is full just below the threads. Then reverse to re-assemble. The problem is that it always floods out whether or not i close the flow control. *note that it does not flood out when using it.

You may even notice a small hairline crack in the new clear window that i just found myself, on the left side of the pic.

Sigh... I just got to have this rant about my odysseus experience.

I managed to snag one from the ecigz.co.uk, and felt extremely lucky :) Days went and i got my odysseus. When i started to put the thing together the first problem was with the lower connection nut, i had to get a small screwdriver and pick some machining junk from the nut before i could get it to place.
I thought that the ody would come with decent amount on wires (like the old one), but there were only one premade coil, which of course snapped right away to two pieces...Luckily i had some kantal and silver wire..

First setup, 2.3ohms, wicking nicely but the taste was horrible, i couldnt taste the juice at all! Couple of more setups later the bad taste keeps on coming.. Then to the internet to do some reading, i guy said, that i should wash the metal parts and then give it ago. Ok.. did just that, the bad taste was almost gone, but i couldn't taste the juice either..Again, couple of more setups and no succes. At this point i gave up, and sold the ody. The guy that purchased the ody from me gave it a good wash with ultrasonic cleaner, and couldn't be happier with product. Anyway my ody is now gone, and all i got was a bad taste in my mouth :(

Now im thinking shoud i buy a new one, and give it another chance.. But sadly they are out of stock now.

Actually, what is there to learn from Psymbiotes story?
Small things, that in no way are Imeos fault can spoil the whole experience. Something HAS gone wrong somewhere between Imeo and the buyer, might be worth looking into, since these kind of comments DO give the product a bad rep, even if it´s amongs the best in the vaping world.

Well let me explain with an example. You buy new cutlery and take them home, would you eat with them before washing them? If you don't and the food tastes funny is it the foods fault?
I hope you see where I'm going with this

Of course I see the point. I did clean my Ody with ultrasonic cleaner, but I have been playing with these for a while now, but it would be, for newer vapers at least, helpful to mention, that yes, you need to clean your Odysseus with something, that removes oil before vaping with it.
Naturally this is up the keeper of webstore to add, but it would prevent Imeo from getting bad rep from something he had nothing to do with.

Im not saying this was the odys fault, but if you have to use ultrasonic cleaner or something like that, to get the product to work properly, something has gone wrong. Again im not saying it was the odys fault. I mean i washed the SS parts with dishwasher soap, and gave it a good rinse. But maybe that wasn't enough...

How many of you new odysseus owners washed the thing throughly before use?

I think that ODY doesn't taste right to some people because it doesn't come with that nasty primer like china atties do, LOL

You don't need an ultrasonic cleaner psymbiote. I have everything Imeo has made and that includes 2 ody's and 2 iatties and don't own an ultrasonic cleaner. Some people boil their parts, I just wash them in really hot soap water and have never had any issue

Before use after cleaning all the parts necessary to nichrome wire ignited (this will remove the metallic taste), together with silica yarn (this will remove the impregnation of the threads).
Following these simple steps you will feel the taste of juice, rather than metal impregnation.

I agree! Torching the wick and talking the R wire over an open flame (lighter, stove..) before making the coil makes a huge difference, not just for ODY, for any rebuildable atty :thumb:

ufs2katushka.gif1.jpgThat's how I ignited the thread spool and silica before use.
This picture set in the Patriot UFS.
After calcination (turn, heats up, turn off, until the smoke goes ....
After such a simple operation will never be an unpleasant taste in your mouth .... just a taste of the juice.
