i read that the ceramics had a soapy taste its been cured in the new ones but the way to fix it was to hold in a blue flame for a few seconds ?? when i first wick mine up i get a sort of burnt nutty taste but its gone in a short time and full flavour returns i sterilized mine in an auto clave after it came out of the ultra sonic cant be happier IM A BELIEVER cant wait to get me hands on ggts

I have said too many times on forum that a clean is required Troll. I have also said other things too but people dont read or they forget or they cant read the info because info gets lost on GG forum. The thing is that I have to put a paper with instructions inside every order to avoid those things.

Of course I see the point. I did clean my Ody with ultrasonic cleaner, but I have been playing with these for a while now, but it would be, for newer vapers at least, helpful to mention, that yes, you need to clean your Odysseus with something, that removes oil before vaping with it.
Naturally this is up the keeper of webstore to add, but it would prevent Imeo from getting bad rep from something he had nothing to do with.

Ody doesnt require a cleaner psy. Dishsoap is more than enough for metal parts, fire for the ceramic and the wick. The most of the times ceramic and wick doesnt need fire at all

Im not saying this was the odys fault, but if you have to use ultrasonic cleaner or something like that, to get the product to work properly, something has gone wrong. Again im not saying it was the odys fault. I mean i washed the SS parts with dishwasher soap, and gave it a good rinse. But maybe that wasn't enough...

How many of you new odysseus owners washed the thing throughly before use?

this soapy taste existed on previous batch of Odys because of the ceramic. Factory didnt clean it properly. I didnt know that but I mention this issue to them and new ceramics are ok stum. Also customers burned the ceramic and soapy taste was gone

ive only been vapein a couple of months and believe me i have bought some shhhiete spoke to many suppliers who assure you they sell the best products on the planet .... bollllox i wont name and shame anyone but its like a breath of fresh air to find a man that not only produces the best kit in the world he stands by it uses it himself and answers any queries quickly and honestly and i cant thank you enough ..... just hope i can get a ggts before 18th of july as i have to have my leg amputated and wont be able to get on line for a few weeks be a proper stumpy then lol hope surgeon remembers to clean his saw xx

The soapy Taste was a Batch at february, we burn the ceramic, that is right.
It was only one Batch with the soapy Taste.

the new ceramics are good, no Taste. I clean the ody with warm water. Some do it with warm milk.

I am having terrible luck with the oddy. Lol. I have used about 70% of the wick that came with it to make 1 coil. I am familiar with using the last oddy, with great success, but this one not so much.

I was finally able to make a coil, but Im getting all sorts of different tastes, and it's not my juice. I don't know if the ceramic needs to be cleaned, if I'm doing something wrong, but the juice isn't coming through, if at all.

Someone pinpoint why I'm getting nasty tastes?

to be honest i dont know who i bought oddy off lol i just clicked the pre order and paid the man im in uk and it was to do with ecigz London ??? Dont know any names ... thanks for the kind words captsteve dont want any reasons to start smoking again and pain will be one reason !!! so GOLDEN GREEK all the way if all else fails i will get the women on it but then she will know the price lol

read back a few pages all your question answered mine has an after taste till wick burns in a bit ... is your juice control open. keep at it it will be fine ive done 30ml of juice over the weekend i cant put it down even take it to bed lol

Thanks for the advice. I will now start torching the ceramic and wick. What if the resistance wire touches the ceramic? Would this cause a unpleasant taste?

You are so right Imeo - people need to read or search. Thats what I did before every receiving my first GG anything. These are advanced user devices. Reading threads in forum and watching youtube videos are a must.

To all that want to know about Odys and GG things - even other mods from other vendors - do this
