I am very glad about your experience sespy! Well done buddy:)
imeo, have you ever tasted Johnson Creek Original? I finally have. Been vaping it almost exclusively for a couple of months (out of tank cartos, etc.). Assembled my new Odysseus drip mode tonight. My first rebuildable and I am fortunate that it was yours. Tasted my JC juice for the first time. Outstanding.

Namaste. And Thanks,
Stephen

It is a good read and I learned a lot from it... I use the SS mesh around the cheese cloth at the center and then wrap the coil wire.

Here you go M8!

Kitchen Tools and Supplies for Herbalists

.999 Fine Silver 30 Gauge Round Dead Soft Wire

The Mesh Company: Online Shop for Woven, Knitted and Perforated Mesh for Art, Craft, Floristry, Modelling and Engineering

Well bump my head!

WOW, that thread is a damn interesting read! AnilomNor, I see you are between ceramic and cheese cloth on your Ody. (Not sure how you would use SS mesh though) Care to link the products, or pm them to me please? I can't make out the brands in the pic you posted. I'm off to get some cotton and bamboo wicking stuff as well. Brain is swimming with ideas after that read!

Thanks guys. This really opened my eyes a bunch.

Just my 2 cents. No offence Imeo or to anyone else, just something I actually think.

I find that making premade wires is pretty much redundant. Imeo's time spent would be more justifiable if he is using it to create even more PV wonders.

Reason is because its a fixed length, which means, it is set at an "Ideal/random" resistance for a setup. I know it helps beginners but in time they would advance to being experienced and would wanna play with different lengths of resistance wires. So the demand will drop. And believe me, once Ody users are used to building thier coils on your splendid creations Imeo, they will wanna play around with thier setup... this is... tradition. LOL

Ok. just my own thoughts abt premade wires. haha

the good thing with premade wires is that users can still make their own lengths and in a much easier way Mad:)
As for my time, I dont spend it on making wires. A factory makes them for me buddy:)

That is good to know. Doesnt it come Fused together? Well now that i think of it.. you can just cut of excess and tie it back up. LOL silly me. But thats wasteful!! i would still prefer to have rolls of wires and make them myself.. the fun factor is just hard to replace. :)

I am just another one hoping to see more creations from you, Imeo

Yeah it does come fused together, I think it would be rather difficult to cut for this reason. It's a single piece of no res wire on each side of the res wire. Mine came in at 1.7 Ohm so you wouldn't really want to make it smaller, in fact, I would rather it longer. I have a few metres of no resistance wire coming, so I'll probably aim for a 2.8 Ohm coil using Kanthal 32ga.

So now that I've been using the Ody for a day, the flavour has really shone though and I'm loving it. :) I haven't used one of my Lines since getting it. :)

no, you dont cut the wires mad. When I say that making your own coil from an existing premade wire is much easier I mean that you just reel the R wire around the NR wire to make the R wire shorter only from one side without the need to do 4 twists to make a coil. So making only 1 twist is easier that making 4 twists. Also the one side that is already connected from the factory give us the ability to have a very small connection that allow wick to sit much better inside channels. I have already made a video about it:)

How many coils do i wrap with 32 awg to get 1.2 ohms? Need more TH. plenty of vapor though!

Thanks,

Chris

I have mine on 1.1 - 1.2 all the time. I do not count by the coils i make or rather i measure by the lenght of R wire. the coils are not consistant if you change wick sizes.
For 32awg, I cut at 30-32mm to aim for 1.1-1.2ohm. My "Twisted" (The part you connect and twist the NR and R wire) part is really tiny, just abt 2mm MAX.. i use tweezers to do it. Ideally you will want to have about 26-28mm or of R Wire between your NRs to get 1.1-1.2ohm for 32 Awg.

Imeo, i think i know what you mean. Just folding back the R and Twisting the excess into the NR. Ok.. got it.. pretty neat.

Imeo, or any GG pros, I've got a quick question. I had asked earlier, but am still curious, how is everyone shining up there Odys and GG products? My drip mode mouthpiece looks like it could benefit from a bit of a polish, but not sure the best method to go about it. What would work good, and be safe to use? Anyone who has given the Ody/Penelope or GG a good shine, care to share how? Thanks!
