I guess I have to know what role those nuts serve to answer the question. The drip mode nut seems to be almost optional. Perhaps it does hold the position of the rebuildable part relative to the base, but the base is pretty darn secure with o-ring pressure. On the short mode, it seem to only be a rim against which the mouthpiece compresses to control liquid, although I do not have one to see this in action. Perhaps the thickness difference is just a redesign in the drip mode version to allow it to fit in the slimmer base/head than the base/tank of the ody? I am speculating here. Anyone have a theory?

exactly as you said Memphis. And in short mode the ring keeps the rebuildable part against mouthpiece while you unscrew it.

So Imeo, the two sizes are for thickness, but in a pinch, it looks like there is no reason to worry about using the slim nut for both, yes? In other words, if it fits into whatever screws down on it, it's ok? I could use the slim on both with no bad effect?

CoV posted the brass old 4 in 1 connector as a stealth cap but they know it's supposed to be the old 4 in 1 connector. I ordered some anyway. It's good to know you are making the old 4 in 1. It doesn't really matter what they call it on their site.

Just to clear everything up, THE SALE FOR ALL OF THESE PARTS AND ITEMS ARE GOING TO RUN FOR 20 DAYS, RIGHT??? I was under the assumption that it was only going to last a few days, but then reread it and discovered the 20 days. Thanks I've seen those and have a ss GGTS on preorder, What I'd like is a reverse version of the GGTS 1st series. Just like the one I have now, number 163. Kinda my own "gangsta version"

Sorry but I ordered some of the older style 4 in 1 connectors. When you say lid Imeo what do you mean exactly? I thought the old style connector was just one piece and didn't need anything else as it replaces the new collector tank assembly.

Do I need something else?
