I'm still having issues--I don't know if it is the coil, or general conductivity. I am using a 1" triple twist 32g kanthal coil which gives me just under 2 wraps around a 3.5mm wick. It in theory should be steaming hot and crazy, but it isn't. I can get a warm vape if I prime the button before drawing on the mouthpiece, but shouldn't this combo give me heat and vapor rather quick? Any longer on the coil and the vapor is there but NO heat (i mean anything more than 1" long triple-twist 32g is weak).

Any thoughts? I cleaned and lubed the TS tubes...I just cannot figure it out.

HALP!:blush:

Sadly, no idea. (No ohm meter). But based on the visuals Bish and others have shown, it should be a sub 1ohm coil. It is short--I mean SHORT. Barely 1.75 wraps around the wick. Visually it should be around .7 ohm, but it is not hot and vapor is just decent. I've been pouring over all the twist videos and threads trying to determine what could be the issue.

Is it possible that because my internals are all steel (not brass) that I'm not using the power of the battery to its fullest?

I did a quick calculation:
32 AWG = 0.2mm
0,2mm Kanthal -> 42,79 ohm per meter
triple twist 0,2mm Kanthal -> 14,26 ohm per meter

divided by 40 -> 0,35 ohm per 2,5cm/1inch

This is not longer low resistance, it is ultra low resistance or maybe makro resistance. :blink::p

And definitely not safe to be doing without a meter to check stability.

A VV mod cant work with a wire like this, its too low beard:)

sneaker, 3 32 awg coils twisted are a very very low wire. Keep in mind that not only the amount of resistance matters but also the width of the wire. If for example I want to fire a 1,5 ohm and 0,5mm fat wire I need much more current to fire it properly than a 0,16 mm fat wire at 1,5 ohm too. So GGTS is fine, no worries about that

Been using the 2" triple now in between tattoos....it sucks. No heat, low vapor.

It feels like I'm using a 3.5 ohm atty on a 3.7v battery--It is terrible. Maybe I'm just used to really high watts? I used to push 2.5 ohm atties on 7.4v all day. Once I got the ODY, I've always used less than three wraps. I've been using the twisted 2/3 wire method for about a month or so, and never really had a problem other than the super low wrap count. I'm kinda stumped--saving for an ohm meter as we speak.
