Hi Imeo, not sure what you mean? Ithaka mouthpiece and outer parts work on Ody? Why would I want to do that? What im worried about is are there going to be Ody V2 internal available any more for Ody? Or are all things Odysseus now gone?

It just seems odd to me that even the oldest atomizer, the i Atty is still being sold and supported, but Odysseus which is newer is now obsolete? If I had known I would have bought more of the things that might wear out for the future. I bought these Odysseus with the idea that like all other GG items that there would at least a couple years of support for it.

Ana:

Cap is compatible
Body and mouthpiece are compatible (you have to use both of them at the same time)

Imeo can you explain more? Does cap of ithaka replace cap of Odysseus? Which cap small or big? If I use cap do I have to use body and mouthpiece of Ithaca. Please elaborate.

the 2 caps of Ithaka suit on Ody aal. So if you dont have Ody's caps you can buy Ithaka caps. Also if you dont have an Ody body then you can buy Ithaka'a body. And if you dont have Ody's mouthpiece then you buy Ithaka mouthpiece but you need Ithaka's body too because Ithaka's mouthpiece is bigger so you need a bigger body. Also the rebuildable part of Ithaka fits on Ody but Ody's rebuildable part dont fit on Ithaka because it has shorter center pin. But if you buy a bigger pin for Ody then the rebuildable part of Ody fits on Ithaka

Oh, I mean the O-ring that people use in place of this upper connection/collar ring:

I was reading some people use an O-ring instead to prevent leaks

Oh, I see, didnt know that people did that , I never get leaks, this ring is to keep the wires in place, the neg wire especially. I suppose you could put an o-ring under it and the base if you wanted. You need metal around it to make the neg contact also.

Only thing Id be worried about is if its too tight around the wick channels you might cut off the flow of juice.

Surely this is wrong. How can a rubber o-ring secure the rebuildable part to the base? It would become loose and cause circuitry issues?

I suppose it depends on how smooth your mouthpiece threads on and how tight you tighten down the housing. My Ody mouthpiece is like butter and I can and have used this method. Typically my housing is in tight enough to not need this ring.

That was on Non GG clones. The real GG atomizers do not leak. :)

It's not a huge deal, I don't get leaks, I just figured I would join the crowd :p
And as far as holding the wires in place, my ring doesn't doesnt do that on v2.. I just have the neg wire under the wick, it doesn't go under the collar (which I guess can cause leaks from the tiny gap?)

They were talking about this in the thread titled "Ody leaking like crazy"

Poppa D first suggested it (as well as fright88, dspin and others):

Remove the ground ring (ring around ceramic) and use an ORing in its place. I've done this since getting my V1 Ody straight from COV, it'll stop the leak cold.

I guess a bunch of others do this as well

The ceramic holder will stay tight with out the steel ring, no worries. I definitely have an original Ody and its always had a bit of a drip issue that using an o ring resolved. Thats why I suggested it.
I don't know what size the o ring is, I had spares that I tried until I found one that worked. Once it's in you can turn off the flow %100 any time.
Another tip for you is, after you fill it, set the Ody in an open juice bottle for a minute to see if it has a few drops dripping from it. Mine normally drips out 3-5 drops and shes good to vape, make adjustments as needed.

Hmm i got a problem with my Ody, since a while it always tastes like metal and i can't seem to find out why. I tried everything, cleaned with ultrasonic, made tighter wicks cause i read that this should help but it doesn't. Anybody else had this problem once and got an idea how to fix that? Cause it's not posible to use the Ody right now. I even used more flavour in my liquid to overcome the metal taste but its stil there -.-

thx in advance

Sometimes if I wrap my coil to loose I get a metal taste. Maybe try wrapping it tighter or open up the juice control more.

I Read in another forum that someone soldered his nr and r wire instead of the twist method. idoes anyone else? doesnt seem safe, if it is what kind of solder do u use. twisting the 2 wires are always a ..... for me

tia

I have only seen one person talking about actually using solder on this forum since the iAtty. Other's have mentioned it but I don't recall anyone saying what they actually used. The one I do remember I think was Parra and I believe it was in the iatty thread he was using some non toxic solder. If you don't like twisting and have problems getting pre-made wires there is a person that makes a wire wielder that will wield them together. Unfortunatly I don't have any info but either a google search or maybe a forum search may help.
