I need ukeman's help here-
I know you have lots of HHs, so maybe you know. I posted back on the 6th that my HH and stopped working, I'd been using it for about 2 weeks, probably a little less. That day, I started a brand new 2ohm long barrel, been running it at 4.4v on the provari. Today it just doesn't fire when I go to take a vape. I tried tightening/loosening, blowing it out and refilling, nothing. When I look inside, at one of the solder points at the start of the coil it looks like maybe the wire broke because I see a tiny dot which I think is the end of the wire. So maybe it popped? I started it the 6th, today is the 17th...... 11 days? I don't get it, 2 HHs in less than a month. I blow them out regularly, keep them at a consistent voltage, and its not like I run them at 15 watts or anything- 2ohms, 4.4v, so 9.68 watts.
Now I know there is no set lifespan, but come on there is no way they should die that soon. When I test with a DMM, it shows the same reading as when the leads aren't touching anything, so there is a break somewhere, I'm guessing in the coil. What could I possibly be doing wrong?

Sorry dDubs, I am THE atty killer...
I chain vape dry burn, keep atty coils close to dry most of the time.
I think the folks that get lots of life do 2 things. 1. keep the coils wet 2. keep voltage as low as will accomodate the resistance.
4.4v at 2 Ohms may be fine; i don't know for sure as I am mostly using 1.5 Ohm at 3.4 to 3.7v.
I try some 2.0 Ohms at about 3.8, 3.9v max usually.
Even then I get about 3-4 maybe 5-6 weeks max.

I used to go through standard atomizers in 1 -2 weeks... i figure they're like packs of cigarettes.
But with HH357 prices it's a bit of a stretch. That's why i say just use a 3.7 device like a good eGo bat (1.5 Ohm HH357) which helps cut the cost. If I use my VV's (which i do) i keep the voltage to a minimum (as long as there is good vapor).

I run them at a moderate voltage, and don't ever let them get dry, like I said I know there isn't a set lifespan but come on, 2 in 21 days, especially at $22 a pop, and I take care of them too. I'm just really upset right now, I put in a ticket at avid asking about the HH rebuild to see if I can get them rebuilt at least. I am now unsure about buying any more, I hope its just a coincidence that I got like back to back duds.

ye the Aero from Advape looks like the HH 357 coil/wick design; but mass produced. It's pretty close but not quite as good in the flavor dept.... where it shines is in its smooth consisten vape; imo.... not cheap but worth it imo.
The aero bridgeless 510? If so, I'll have to pick up a couple.

Yea I emailed him last week..... I'll get back to that.
My first HH I ever bought was a short barrel (sb) 2ohm. After a week or two I thought the flavor was weak, so like he said I emailed him. He said send it to him and he would rebuild it or whatever. He ended up sending me a replacement, saying that he tested it and it was working good. Luckily the day I got it my 2nd HH died, so I started using it right away.
He emailed me today, first asking how the new one he sent me was working. I told him its good, but the flavor still wasn't up to par. He said to crank up the voltage and keep it really wet, I have been doing that and it is starting to taste pretty good. He also asked about the email I sent to him though, because it was a little confusing. He thought maybe I was letting them get too dry, I don't think I was. I thought maybe I was running them at too high of a voltage, but he said he uses 2ohms at 4.8v, and I used mine at 4.4v, so it wasn't that.
He is really cool and its nice that he was checking in to see how my replacement was working out for me. I am just bummed that $42 in attys were gone in 3 weeks. I'm just hoping I have better luck with the ones I have now- the 2ohm replacement sb he sent, and I have a 2ohm custom LB (barrel is cobalt blue, looks sweet but doesn't really match any of my mods:?:) and a 1.5ohm LB that just came in today.

Update- just got email, as long as they don't look bad, I'm guessing like if they look new like they did really only last for 10 days, he will replace them. I can't say enough about Hanna, he has been really cool about answering questions and taking care of me. And after his suggestion of upping the voltage, this shorty has been vaping better.

btw, if you are an HH357 901 user, like me, who couldn't find an adapter to make it work on a bottom feeder, unless Avid has changed up (either the threads on the 357 901, or different adapters), I got mine at RTD the site that sells batteries on ecf.
YOW!
I've been a 901 user for a couple years and btw the HH357 is my favorite, and finally i can use them on my b/f's! bingo :)

The 901 across the board is known for less TH than a 510 or 306, but more than an 801; so right in the middle, better flavor, and just as much vapor.
801 is known for more flavor and good vapor, very little TH and a cooler vape. 901 is in the middle; imo the best of all worlds.
and if I want a tighter draw, that's what the drip shield is for (which i hardly ever use).
On the 357 901, I like how the draw is easy but not too airy, lots of flavor and lots of vapor.
Some say they leak because there is an air hole on the side near the bottom; it only leaks if you over feed it. I haven't seen a juice bubble out of that hole for the months I've been using them.
With conventional 901's I would know there was just enough juice when i saw juice peeking out the hole...

How would you compare a 510 to a 901 HH? I've been curious about them, I have only used 510 and 306 attys, and 510 & KRD808 cartos.

These would be the adapters I would use for the 901 to a 510 bottom feeder mod :) remember these Uke, they sure come in handy at times :)

yeah matt, i had a couple of those from RnR ali'i b/f... but they wouldn't fit the HH357 901's ... unless Hanna changed the tubes, his 901's wouldn't take even Avid's open end adpaters; stealth and the regular. They told me his threads were a different tolerance.
I finally got some from RTD which do fit.

Ahh got ya Uke, was just trying to help, and I knew you had to have one of those old adapters or two ;) , I wonder if you took some sand paper or a file and filed the threads on the adapter if it would work, just because they worked so well if ya got them to work it would feed super with that tube they have, just a thought.:)

nah, when i put one up to the 901 the tube wouldn't fit into the bottom hole even....
should ask Hanna if he went to the conventional 901 tubes because heck the Avid adapters wouldn't fit and they told me "sorry" different tolerances... i sent them back for a HH357 in trade :)

Hey guys, HH.357 user here for about 1 year. Best atomizers I've ever used. I use them exclusively, and only gone through 4 in 1 year. But I have a question...

I decided to order the 1.5ohm long barrel last week for the first time, and there's barely any flavor at all. I'm happy about the fact that it doesn't spit, but in terms of flavor it's totally flat. I taste a little when I breath out, but nothing on the intake. I've given it a week to break-in, but it hasn't really improved. Is this normal?

I did a comparison to one of my short-barrels, and it tastes downright delicious. Switched back to the long-barrel, and no more flavor... just warm flat musty vapor.

Just checking to see if this is normal, or if maybe there's something wrong with mine...

Multimeter reads between 1.4 and 1.5. Using a 3.7volt 14500. Flavor doesn't improve with lower voltages.
