Well, time to spill the beans... Almond anyone?
Hmmm, that would account for the cherry/fruity taste that some people have described. I've got another idea as well, but will have to wait until my juice arrives in order to confirm it, lol.Well, time to spill the beans... Almond anyone?
"Boba" according to Wikapedia is a Pearl Tapioca used in Asian deserts such as Kolak, which is Palm Sugar and Coconut with some other spices. Whether this has anything to do with what's used in this juice is questionable since chocolate is not mentioned in those Asian recipes but it may be there under a name I don't recognise.

I had a thought. Maybe he changes the mix just a slight bit every few weeks or whatever just to keep everyone guessing what the background spices might be. Not so much the original flavors that go into the mix, but perhaps the %'s of each flavor. That would make it taste more coconut to some people a few weeks ago and now, the almond flavor is prevailing. Does each and every order taste exactly the same as the order before?
I don't think he would risk changing up a formula that's become so popular.
Interesting - I gave the BB another try last night and that "plasticky spiciness" finish that I found so unpleasant wasn't there any more. It was a much more natural smoke than I had experienced the first time. I'm not ready to say what the taste is yet, but I'm happy that the initial ickyness is gone. I wonder if that was because it was my first VG-based liquid?
Edit: Sometimes it helps to put a new bottle in very warm water for about 15 minutes with the lid off. This helps to mend the flavors together. Just for a short time and then let it sit without lid until room temp again. Now this could ruin some juices if left in the water too long so you have to be real careful. I use this method with my DIY liquids when I want to test them without having to steep them, but I've never tried it on pre-mixed liquids that were shipped to me....proceed with caution....
That's an interesting idea. I'll give that a try. The odd thing to me is that all of the AVE juices I've tried taste very similar to me. That includes Boba, Flue Cured and Gamel. I do hope they grow on me because I hate buying stuff that I won't ever use.
I know what the secret flavor is. No doubt about it. It's a combination of the most addictive substances on the planet. Chocolate, caffeine, nicotine, and (an illegal substance that apparently there is a rule about naming ??) I was only addicted to the first three. Damn you Boba!
