Maybe it was not related, but mine had a high pitched noise when firing from the first fire. Curious if others have this as well.

Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

The high pitch sound is normal. It's been there on the 2.0, 2.5 and P3. It's mostly only something you can hear when in a very quiet room as it's not very loud. This is the power converter, since it runs at high frequencies. It's nothing to be concerned about :)

The Mothership already has our email via the purchase. So a simple marketing (new Radius Blurb) and software update/release via the USB port would be a double. :) Easy peasy and global in nature. New sales and bug fixes for everyone.

Not all Provari's are purchased directly via Provape.com. A guy who has never been on ECF, nor ever heard of Provape, walks into a better quality Vape Shop. He's tired of his ego/evic/sx [insert any other mod here] breaking on him. The sales person says they have the perfect device for him and shows him a Provari. Being dutifully impressed, the guy whips out his credit card and buys a P3 or Radius. That guy is so happy he spends days/weeks/months vaping on his device, but still doesn't join ECF or check into the Mothership's website. Other than maybe the store telling him there's an update for his device, how is he supposed to find out?

Now, if there was a card in his new shiny's box suggesting his device can be updated and to be notified of updates and news about his device, he should go to www.provape.com and register the device........just sayin' ;)

Good to know. And I guess there's an advantage to having ears too old to hear high pitched sounds to begin with. Yes, that's uh, right?!

There are advantages to getting older and losing hearing capability. :)

EDIT: Sir Rod beat me to the punch. :)

Good to know it's nothing serious. But why does it only make the sound when I have the boost setting turned on??

Due to the outcry, they have decided to support the M Class I do believe...
That is good news - Mine has been sitting in the vape drawer for awhile now. Never really used it above 15w so the P3 just feels better to me. Did anyone compare the weight of the radius to the VS rDNA 40 or VS DNA 200?

I just think it is sad that YiHi came out with an upgradeable device but then chose to make a "new ML" device instead of continuing to support the SX mini...:nah:
Slightly wrong, dude. They just released a new firmware last week that picks up the temp sense features of the ml. The biggest change of the ML is the case is a slightly different design as well as the battery door.

I ran an equipment manufacturer and we released new products. I watched early warranty returns like a hawk. No matter how much you lab test a product, beta test, and field test a product it is not fool-proof. Once the product gets widespread use you are almost assured of finding additional issues. And it is a whole lot more expensive to fix product in the field than it is to solve the problem in-house. This is why it is important that ProVape knows about quality issues. You would be doing ProVape a favor by opening a ticket so they can assess it sooner rather than later. Trust me. :)

Agree...Our process for any failures is to fast track them directly to engineering to evaluate the cause so we can quickly implement any changes necessary. Sometimes it's things like a bad component, software bug, solder splash, a process that needs to be changed, etc. We have a great team here and we can move quickly to address any issues and get them resolved asap. It's very helpful for anyone having issues to email us about the problem and we can log this and work on a solution :)

cough...

You're in a thread in a Supplier's Forum that ProVape pays for...it's their "Store"...their Business inside of ECF...
Is that why Zen gets to take direct as well as passive aggressive pot-shots at users? And why anytime anyone questions his passing OPINION off as FACT, they get banned? So I also assume, the way moderators take the side is also indicative of them and ECF being on the supplier payroll? Or is it old fashioned favoritism!

Hello,

We have a page setup where you can check for any updates: www.provape.com/update :)

We will also post something here, and email.

Thanks. I'm still suggesting you're missing a marketing opportunity by not having people register their purchase with you. Yes I am!

Different power levels can change the frequency of the converter and some power levels won't cause a sound at all, its the nature of the converter.

Sorry, but I think this is totally uncalled for and completely off-base. There I said it.

And sometimes it is nothing at all (like in this case) and better to squash concerns before they get out of control. I obviously don't know the internal operations at ProVape but I get the strong sense that quality would be at or near the top of their list of competitive advantages. If it's not, then y'all fooled me. :)

Not mine and you should be concerned. If it still persists after switching toppers and checking the usual suspects, I would contact the Mothership and be prepared to send the unit back. You might even want to call the Mothership so they can hear it or record a vid.

Edited for clarity
I seem to recall receiving an e-mail notification from ProVape when the P3 3.8 update was available.

Zen has a very wry sense of humor that can be taken wrong. He also has a huge amount of knowledge on these subjects and has done a lot of research/testing so you can pretty much take what he says as fact and if he doesn't know all the facts he will say so.

You will also notice he has refused to disrespect provape by touting his own competing PV. That alone speaks volumes about his integrity.

As for the mods, they take a looser approach to supplier forums and let the supplier decide what is allowed unless it goes against forum rules or are asked to step in. Robino1 can explain it better though.

And I'm tired of seeing his snarky, insulting comments get praised, and getting attacked whenever I call him out on it. We are all entitled to opinions, but my opinions are always clearly stated as such, and I never take direct pot shots at anyone.

And for the record, the whole hamster thing is and was a passive-aggressive attack at everyone who didn't agree with him at that point in the conversation. And anyone who joins in on that, is only spreading the negativity.

Look, I'm a normally positive person...and I have no problem giving a pat on the back when deserved, and will agree to disagree on opinions. And when the chips are down, be the first to put any differences aside and wish that person the best. Hell, I was even happy for those who got their new radius and are happy with it. But I have zero tolerance for shunning people because they think or act a little differently.
