Wouldn't it be cool to update your Radius with your Smartphones

Still no reviews, not even an unboxing video :( can't one of you lucky folk knock up a video showing the Radius off in all its glory?
I'm getting so impatient, even after the white is put on pre order ill have to wait for them to reach cremedevape in the uk.

I'm dithering here and considering black, I really want to see some real life pics of the white so I can stay strong haha!

some people would rather continue to nitpick at a single feature, rather than accept that the stated feature doesn't work for them, and move on.

Well, that's exactly what I'm doing... I'm moving on. Like I said earlier, the 800mah charge rate is a deal breaker for me so I won't be buying the Radius. Maybe some day Provape will release an update that lets the user select a higher charging rate and if that happens I'll buy it.

I got a LUC V4 charger, and I set it to 0.5A to charge my batteries.
I'm not a battery expert, but I believe that a trickle charge is still the best way to charge, and to get the full life cycles out of a battery.

Charging at 1A or higher, heats things up.
Heat + Electronics = Bad things.

Fluctuating power when charging = battery death :(
I Always use a surge protector and I never never use my car to charge a mod.

Agree or disagree with this, I don't care :pervy:

You are absolutely correct. Charging a battery slower, increases its useful lifespan considerably. This is I'm sure why Provape chose the charging rate they did with the battery in the Radius. Not only to protect us, but to ensure the battery lasts a long time.

Not meaning to knock your decision but it seems silly to me to quibble over what amounts to about 10 minutes charge time difference. 1amp is the max safe charge rate for an IMR/ICR type cell and its recomended to charge no higher than 500Ma for optimum batt life.

10 days and still no shipping notice yet :( But sure the wait will be worth it though :D

What was strange, when I ordered, the payment showed in pending on my banks website, it sat pending for about 4 days, and then just disappeared altogether, I am guessing they will actually take the payment when they ship it.

My account did the same thing. Got me scared they cancelled my order. Got in touch they said it was not cancelled. They only keep the hold on your account for about 4 days and informed me it was shipping out that day. The wait will be worth it.

I work In banking basically what they do is take a authorisation from you which allows them to take payment when they do dispatch but not physically taking the cash in case something goes wrong so they don't have to refund it later just be mindful to keep the money available as the authorisation can expire and the money becomes available to spend again but provape can still debit your account effectively forcing your account overdrawn

I thought they might of cancelled my order too, so kept checking on provape.com to make sure my order still showed up, which it does, so just guessed as a pre-order, they would take money once shipped.

Really guys? Let's put this into perspective. The P3 was the first ProVape mod you could update the firmware, but you had to either send it in to ProVape, or find a dealer that had the programmer - most did not. Some people on the P3 forum drove an hour or more to do this.

Now the Radius is released, and can be updated by any Windows box. I'm sure that if you don't have a Windows box at work, you have a friend who lives less than an hour away. But, if you have no friends, maybe your local ProVape dealer will do it for you, and you still have the option of sending it in to ProVape.

Some people are never satisfied... *sigh*

Some people are never satisfied? ... you have totally labeled me wrong

Not only am I a totally satisfied vaper ... I am also satisfied computer-wise.

Really, let's put this into perspective ... I don't actually need any new vape gear, nor do I need windows on any computers.

However, I would already own a Radius if it could be Mac updated

    cheers :vapor:

Just imagine the view count skyrocket for the first few people to do the Radius unboxing!

**I originally had some other complaints and opinions that I took out of this before posting... Lol**

My wife came home from work today and looked at me when I hit my Radius/Kabuki and was like "I read about one of this exploding today" and acted all worried.... Every time there's a story like this, it makes the whole industry look bad....! I explained Provari is the safest and told her exactly why and how what you see in the picture went wrong. But I felt like I was on the defensive...

This was my wife's friend's friend - haha. So she read about it on Facebook... Apparently the vape shop they bought from will be replacing their carpet.

Why they would give a mech mod to a beginner with a Subtank is beyond me... Even if the high resistance coils do vape well in it (never tried, but aren't they like 1.2 ohms?) I'm guessing he then dropped in the other coil, not thinking anything and low and behold the battery vented... Ridiculous that they would sell that combo period, let alone to a beginner...
