Haha! I'd something new comes out, you know I'll have to get it ;-)

They'd be smart to have a yearly refresh like the smartphone business, while still updating the old of course - also similar to the smartphone business.

Ohhhh I hope they don't do a yearly refresh- that's why the smartphone market is where it's at now.
Too many of the same devices too soon.
Sure the manufacturers are different but all of them are running some version of the same OS- nothing really innovating.

If Provape skips a year, when they do come out with something new it'll be major rather than meh.

Very true. I retract my statement. :)

Everybody in the poool!!!!

Twisted isn't trolling...he's defending his opinion, and doing so without getting nasty about it. Credit where due... And the fact is, as you know - a lot of people share that opinion: $200 is a lot for a 40 watt device without TC. But see, if what you want is a lot of watts and Temp Control, it doesn't matter what the price is - this isn't the right device for you.

I don't measure my mod by how many watts it can deliver, and TC as it's done today doesn't do anything for me. I don't get dry hits, and don't want to mess around with a new type of wire, and don't want my mod deciding to deliver less power than I dialed in.

If it was true temperature control - as in, set it for 400 degrees, and it heats your coil to exactly 400 degrees - that, I'd probably want to try. But limiting? Meh.

Also, I vape all day under 40 watts...by choice, so that works for me... (and it's not a device limit - I'm on a mech, and never liked any builds under 0.45).

So, for a lot of other people, those points don't matter.
If you aren't in love with TC, and don't want 100 watts, then this is probably the very best you can buy. Excellence in design and build, performance, safety and customer service.

Simple really - It's all about what you WANT in a device.
If what you want is higher watts and Temp Control, it's not for you.

So, my understanding of the charging is that the lightening bolt is supposed to go away when it's done charging. Mine does not go away, nor is the bar totally full. It's hard to tell. So, I don't like the charge indicator, and I don't like that it is not apparent when charging.

I'm tending not to use my Radius too much, so I don't have to charge it.

Plug it in and leave it plugged in till lighting bolt goes away ;)

This is the problem with Provape fanboys, every time someone says something negative about one of their products, simply because it doesn't fit their needs, you ridicule them by making stupid comments like he can't afford one. Why do you take everything so personal? Does it really bother you that much that it doesn't fit the needs of every vaper out there? It's almost like Provape users feel like vaping has to be done the Provape way and everything else is bad. Well, it isn't. Different people have different needs when it comes to power, features and TC... deal with it.
So a person takes offense and makes a negative comment and all the sudden all Provape fans are all alike :?:
Glad you cleared that up for me

Wouldn't blind loyalty mean all your mods come from one company and you wouldn't consider using anything else?

I too am an admitted and absolute "fanboi" (if I must) of ProVape. I love their mods, and I LOVE the way they run their company.

I have a mod, maybe two (or so), that were not manufactured by them.

And I don't believe that either of us stand alone. Instead, I think it's exactly the opposite. There are indeed many who will use only a ProVape product (or Reo, or Zen, or-or-or), but I'd be willing to bet those are the minority.

Good stuff is GOOD STUFF. :toast:

I have an LG flip phone, seems to work for me - except for the ridicule I receive from friends, family, colleagues and random people looking at me with pity.

Loudly & proudly. Screw 'em anyways.

In fact, you should get a shirt that says, "Ridicule THIS".

Trust me good sir. You would know if I was trolling. And I don't need to justify anything. Some of you guys are so highly defensive to the point of cringe worthiness. lol
I like watching your reviews and there has been many of times I wished ECF rules didn't prevent me from posting some of them.
I am really glad you stopped by :)

As for your Radius review, you seemed to have made your mind up about it as soon as you heard the price.
The way I see it is,
Some companies make a product to last, and other companies not only want their products not to last, but count on them to break so you have to buy a new one. :(
So of course the company that makes the product to last, has to ask for more money.
I have Verizon and I swear my phone starts to act up right around the same time my 2 year contract is up
So until I personally see how my Radius holds up over the next few years, I can't see how someone can say it's not worth the money. ;)

I agree with your comment on the bigger display, I wish it was 2x bigger, but I wonder if Provape sees a bigger display as a bigger weak spot
Also the Menu
The Radius has + and - buttons, we should be able to use them to scroll the menu.

My thoughts on temp control, TC counts on knowing exactly what the coil is, it's size, shape, material, resistance, etc. And seeing I have a hard time finding two coils in the same 5 pack that are the same, I have no faith in TC.
Until they start making mods with tanks connected with more than a 510 connection, I don't see TC to ever be accurate.

Just my 2 cents :)
