That's always going to be a problem, because we look like we're smoking. We bring something up to our mouths and smoke comes out, that's smoking in most people's eyes. That's why many of us have been banished to the smoking area at work - we're smoking! Right?
No matter how much information we try to put out there, it's going to fall on deaf ears.
Living in NYC, we (vapers) are subjected to the same laws as conventional smokers. Not too long ago, NYC banned smoking in city parks and on city beaches and the same ban applies to
vaping. However, most law enforcement officials disagree with the ban and do not enforce it. New York, in general, is a nanny state, where politicians love to impose their ideas on their constituents. Recently, a bill pushing to ban the sale of e-liquids(!!!) passed the state Senate. Hopefully, it won't pass the House. If it does, I'll just take a quick drive across the river to New Jersey and purchase my e-liquids there (assuming that the bill will ban shipping to NY), while filling up on some cheap gasoline.
Let that sink in for a minute. They want to ban the sale of e-liquids, while keeping cancer sticks legal. This is madness.
NY State Senate Bill S6939B
Here's a choice tidbit from the text of the bill: "E-liquids are more dangerous than tobacco because nicotine in liquid form can be absorbed more quickly even when diluted." Wow...just wow.
