Finally we (me and my friends) received our RADIUS in Mexico, mine came with the firmware version 16. Last night I updated it to the 18 version without problems.
I have been playing with it, so far I like it very much, I choose the Onyx Black (I really wanted the Ghost white), the device feels very good at hand, a good balance between the size and weight (although I would like it more if it was smaller).
When I bought it, I was unsure about the polycarbonate body, but it indeed gives it a nice touch, it looks and feels as what it is, a high quality device, it is a great combination of materials (I was wondering how it would look like with the side plate (where the USB port is located) on stainless steel).
I have not complains with the max wattage it is capable, as due my style of vaping, 40 watts is much more than enough (currently vaping a Tilemahos with a 0.65 ohms, 28 AWG Titanium alloy coil, at 17.2 watts, Boost 3). I do not know if it is a placebo effect, and do not know how to explain it, but I feel the vape more "clear" than when vaping at the same wattage with my Vapor Flask DNA40. And looks like the battery will last forever, I have been vaping all day and the battery icon indicates the battery is almost full !
In generral, I do not have problems with the menu, I could say I like it, however there are somethings I find odd:
I would like they implement a "one hand" locking mechanism (as the usual single button 5 clicks method), having to press three buttons at the same time and wait until it locks in my opinion is impractical. Sometimes you feel you are pressing the three buttons, but you are pressing only two.
When it is "locked", you can still change / set the watts, unless you implicitly lock the watts also, by pressing the +/- buttons at the same time.
I have noticed, that when setting the watts (increase or decrease), the scrolling values are confusing:
It has an (Up / Down) pointing arrow on the screen that indicates if you are increasing or decreasing the values (watts), at the same time, the upper part of the screen shows the next value, while you see at the left bottom part the current value.
The thing is that sometimes both values get synchronized: shows the same values at top and bottom (I think it should be the normal behaviour).
Showing different values (next value at top and current value at bottom) could be confusing, and if you add that "jumping" thing that the "scrolling values" do when you change from increasing to decreasing (or vice versa), makes it even more confusing.
I think the screen should remain turned on a little more time when setting the watts (the "Time" setting in the menu, only applies to the "vaping" screen). A option to set the time that the screen should remain turned on while setting the watts, would be even better.
This is silly, but the USB dust protector is very easy to lose, I wonder why they didn't use those plugs with a tail inserted in the body to not lose them when unplugged (as some cell phones use to have).
Excuse my confusing English
