NDA = Non-Disclosure Agreement. I would bet on it.

In my business, I have access to a lot of pre-release content (movies, TV shows, etc.) and sign my share of NDA's (though in general, it's assumed anyway). Even internally, we're not allowed to mention anything about the content, and all pre-release content has a code name so others wouldn't have any idea of what we're talking about.

I'm not 100% clear on how NDA law works, but in California, an NDA by itself isn't valid - something must be exchanged for the contract to be valid. For movies, etc., they usually give us a $1 bill, thereby validating the contract. In the case of beta testing, I would assume that receiving the software qualifies as validating the contract.
