Depends on how wound up he gets himself. He can perk them up to get attention or if that doesn't work he flops them down and howls lol

They will stand though. There are 2 types The one with ears that lay down is called Phalène (moth) - Papillon refers to the breed and the most common ear is upright. Delightful breed according to the reading we have done. Piper has certainly livened up the house today. Good to see hubs wanting to be more active than normal.

The trivia stuffed in my head is truly overwhelming. I assumed when you said Papillon you meant the butterfly ears, but I am aware of the Phalène type. I have no idea why I would be aware of them, but I'm also aware that both types can occur in the same litter. I was wondering if the paps ears ..... from birth or if they stand up later, like, say, a German Shepherd. I don't know why I want to know this.

I also know that prior to the breed's recognition by the AKC the Norwegian Lundehund was known as a Puffin Hound. They are polydactyl.

Of course, I do not know where any of my little blue screw drivers are.

ETA: I now know that dogs with ears that p.r.i.c.k. are naughty dogs.

Thanks for the response! :)

I might be able to get access to a Windows computer, but there is no way that I'm going to mess with making my computer dual boot a second operating system just to get an occasional software update from one company.

Vanish, the newest addition to our pack.

Thought I would add to the cat pic's. They lay there every night until my wife gets home. Then I don't see them anymore. I guess I'm second fiddle.

Oh no my radius is showing and error code output fault 7 it wont fire at all changed the atty tool the batter out still not working can any one help please xx
You will need to send it in:
Hi Stanley,

The output fault 7 error is related to a bad capacitor. Very spotty. We have removed all of those components from inventory to be pro-active and switched to a different brand. While it's only been on a small number of units, we don't see this being a long term issue.

I really like his markings too. Those markings are what led to his name and a bit more trivia for you...

When he first came home with me, I was googling around trying to come up with a name for him. When I googled white cat with dark tail, I found out that Bicolored cats (that is cats with white fur combined with fur of some other color) are graded from 1 to 10 for the degree of white to color, with 1 being all black and 10 being all white. Some of the bicolor patterns have their own names. Color on the crown of the head and tail only is called a Van Pattern or classic Van Pattern. A cat that is white with colored tail and head splashes plus additional splashes of color on the legs (such as my little guy) is called "Seychellois Huitieme" or in his case, "Vanish". :D

Okay, so after a few days of use I wanted to make a list of my opinions on pros and cons with the Radius (for anyone who cares...)

Pros:

- Feels extremely solid and durable and has a really nice weight to it.

- Extremely high quality fire button (I get a little happier every time I press that button :hubba:).

- Different LED colors that come on the device are great.

- Having different presets to recall for different tanks, flavors, or even different occasions is extremely useful. I have presets saved with the same wattage and boost setting for the same tank but then have a different brightness and LED setting for night and day time which is very nice to have.

- Absolutely no delay between pressing the fire button and vapor production unlike some other devices I have used....I'm looking at you Evic Supreme :-x

- Micro USB charging means you will never have to worry when you forget to charge your battery. Just plug it into a wall and continue vaping while it charges!

- Upgradeable firmware with windows computers.

- The fact that Provape listens to its customer's feedback and makes the changes we want.

- Even though the 510 pin isn't adjustable, it has some give to it so all of my tanks and drippers sit flush on the beauty ring.

- Ability to use ego threaded and P3 threaded tanks. That is rare with most devices today.

- All of the different customization settings in general.

Cons: (remember, these are just MY opinions!)

- I greatly dislike the battery meter. It tries to measure your battery life based on your usage and changes the reading based on approximately how long the device will last. It acts more like a timer than a battery meter. This is too much hand holding for me. I would much rather see an exact reading of the charge in my battery. With the way the meter currently works I can never trust it's reading because I don't know if it's showing a low reading because I just took a few hits or if it's showing a reading higher due to not vaping for a few minutes. It changes WAY to frequently. I just want a straight up reading, just like my gas tank. I know if I have 1/4 tank of gas that I need to fill up tomorrow. When I look at my radius I don't know if I have to charge now or in 3 hours. It's very silly in my opinion. Just as I'm vaping right now while typing this, the device went from literally 1/4 battery reading all the way up to over 1/2 in a matter of 20 seconds. I can't imagine why they designed it this way... It isn't helpful in any sense (my opinion).

- The Radius requires all three button to be held down in order to lock your device from firing. This is very problematic if you only have one hand available to unlock your device. I would much rather have the device lock by holding the +/- buttons so I don't have to drive with no hands when I realize I forgot to unlock my device. I will never want to lock my wattage, it just seems pointless to me, so I would like to have the option to have the +/- buttons act as a lock for the fire button.

- The single 18650 only lasts me a few hours due to how much I vape. This isn't a big problem for me since I am by a charger 95% of the day, but I am plugged into a wall with my device more often than not. To be clear, I'm NOT suggesting Provape change to dual 18650's, I am just giving my experience so far. I honestly don't think being plugged in is a big deal, but it's still a negative since I would rather not be plugged in.

- The device seems to charge very slow. I often vape while the device is charging so this results in the device taking 4 hours to get a 3/4 charge. I'm not even sure if that could be improved (I know nothing about the technical mechanics behind charging), again, just giving my experience.

- Changing the battery is a pain in my opinion. With the current design, I never want to go through the hassle of unscrewing the bottom, dealing with the little gold connection thing (moving that thing worries me), and then awkwardly trying to screw it back together. I would rather just charge through the USB, but as I mentioned previously it can be a problem charging the device while you vape.

That's really all I have to say about the Radius so far. Overall, I love it. My main gripe is that battery meter. Most of the other issues will be solved if I purchase a second Radius. I really hope Provape gives us to option to turn off whatever is making the battery meter jump around every 10-20 seconds.

What do you guys think of the cons I listed? Do you agree with what I said?

I'm glad you like the Radius. You cons though, are not cons for me. A single 18650 battery lasts me 2 full days, but then I don't vape above 9.8 watts. Once you understand why the battery meter calculates the remaining charge, maybe you'll come to appreciate why it's a more intelligent system. On the slow charging, it's that way for a very good reason. Charging batteries fast is not good for them, and in fact diminished their lifespan. Slower charging on your Radius is by design.

Oh no my radius is showing and error code output fault 7 it wont fire at all changed the atty tool the batter out still not working can any one help please xx

Open a ticket with Provape. Unfortunately, you got one of the bad capacitors. To open a ticket:

You will hear from Provape, typically very quickly, but this is Saturday, so it's possible you won't hear from them until Monday.

Thanks for the explanation on bicolor's. Very interesting!

I've heard of more "non cat people" who somehow get a cat and then they like them.

That's a'cuz people who have never been owned by a cat, who then become owned by a cat, find out what they've been missing. Yeah, that's it!

I feel for you Guy's loosing your pets. Living out in the country, and having dealt with animals all my life, I had to put him down myself. He felt no pain what so ever. But it sure hurt me. This was seven years ago, and it still hurts!

I now have COPD, and the Dr.s say NO CATS or Birds in the house. Grrrr.

So this is why we enjoy our Fox so much. I've never seen such a polite and patient animal. She will set in one, spot and wait for me of hours if needed. My only complaint, Is I love to Squirrel hunt, and even more love a good pot of squirrel and dumplings. Bun in NO WAY will she allow it.

Foxy always manages to get to them before me. I shoot, Squirrel hits ground, and she goes into high speed warp drive, and there is only a vacuum where the squirrel was just a second ago. Grrrrr!!!

But these two keep waking her up!

Beautiful fox Knife! It looks quite at peace there!

@The Ocelot , you have ruined me for life...LOL, I cannot get that song out of my head whenever I see a local fox, or a Photo of one :facepalm:

So one of my girlfriends is thinking about buying the Radius but the only thing that worries her is how the two threaded bushes for the battery cap screws are secured in the plastic. Can someone comment on this? Maybe someone from Provape?

Nothing screws into plastic on a ProVari ... metal on metal only :)

What color she getting Lem?

I know it's metal on metal. What I'm talking about is the two small, steel, threaded bushes in the base that keep the battery cap in place. She would like to know how they're secured in the plastic?

The two screws attach to a metal plate that has a spring on one side, which pushes down on a metal plate over the battery.

He keeps asking about the "bushings" ...the threaded receptor pieces that the thumb screws engage into inside the device. A picture might be worth a thousand words :)
