Lem, I actually got to read the post you deleted. No, I don't think they are arrogant at all. They don't know what battery a customer may put inside a Radius (since they are user replaceable). Given a customer could use a battery that might have an issue with rapid charging, they're doing the smart safe thing. Which is what Provape ALWAYS does. I'm sure the last thing they'd like is to see a Radius blow up and get sued by the customer who put in the wrong battery. You do have a way of trying to position this in a negative light.

In my world, fast charging is a must!!! Either that or the battery needs to last a super long time between charges.

When I bought my iPhone 6S + I knew going in it takes a long time to charge, but I don't care cause at the end of the day I still have over 50% remaining when I decide to drop it on the charger & believe me, I'm on it all day long. As long as it's fully charged when I wake up, it's a win!

My Note 5 battery will not last me an entire day but it has fast charging which means I can take the time to make a cup of coffee & be back to 100% by the time I sit back down.

From all I've read here in the forum about the Radius, many of you have said you can go a full day or longer on a single charge. That's key to me.
But as the person who posted that his battery only last a few hours before he's hugging a wall, THAT would bother the hell out of me greatly!!!! Definitely sounds to me like he needs at least 4 Radii in his rotation.

Sent from my i6S+

I vape at 30W and the battery barely lasts me 1/4 of my day. I took my radius off the charger (full charge overnight) about 1 1/2 hours ago and it's at 6/10 charge. I will be plugged into the wall in about an hour or two.

I would still rather use the radius over my dual 18650 mods though :)

So one of my girlfriends is thinking about buying the Radius but the only thing that worries her is how the two threaded bushes for the battery cap screws are secured in the plastic. Can someone comment on this? Maybe someone from Provape?

Hi Lemwise,

The stainless steel inserts are molded into the body when the poly is formed and I recall they have about a 250-300lb. pullout force.

Finally an answer. She's an engineer and this is what she wanted to know (the pull out force). And now that she knows she's going to order it. She already did in fact.

Contact provape. It's a known issue with a bad capacitor. They'll replace it asap

[QUOTE="access0denied, post: 17086239, member: 268050"I usually vape between 9 and 15watts. I don't think this will last a full day.

I have been vaping at 26W and it's been lasting me a day or more (or about 15ml). I think the radius is very efficient.[/QUOTE]
At 20W I would go through 2-3 batteries a day, vaping about the same 15ML. I would appreciate your reporting your puff count for a full charge. I started tracking that because of all the inconsistent reports I got. I know from another box mod that my average puff time is about 2.3S (not long). At 20W I got 250-350 puffs per battery.

Personally I would rather use my 50-70W box mods with magnetic doors if I'm going to do 2-3 battery swaps per day. I bought a P3 Kabuki, hoping I would like the vape at around 10W, compared to dripping or my STMs at around 20W. I think it may be a good solution for me. The Kabuki seems surprisingly efficient in terms of vapor produced per watt.

I found the Radius battery life at comparable power levels to be comparable to my Kbox Mini (Subox mod) and EVIC VTC Mini. No miracle battery life. I go through the same 2-3 batteries per day on all 3, at 20W or so.

I know it's metal on metal. What I'm talking about is the two small, steel, threaded bushes in the base that keep the battery cap in place. She would like to know how they're secured in the plastic?
I don't have a pic but I have taken my radius apart to look at this mounts. They are molded in place not threaded into the plastic. The reason I think for having two is for extra strength and shock resistance. Even though there is a lot of spring pressure, one screw could handle it for everything but the more severe drops. Two inserts makes it a whole lot stronger but also a bit more effort to take off to change batts

I have yet to kill/drain the battery to 0%. It's very possible that it may last me a full day. Usually plug it in for a few hours mid day. I've vaping at 15 watts/1.1ohm build. I'm at 75% (I'm guessing wish the device would tell me). Been vaping since about 9am. So vaping for 4 hours or so. But......Not vaping as heavy as I normally do.

As anyone had issues with rotating batteries? Any issues with the cap/spring/etc breaking with switching out the batteries each day. Seems to me that the Radius slows down charging way in advance before it hits 4.20

Zombo actually says :
Maybe there are other variables such as how hard you puff on it or your atty resistance, atty efficiency, etc. All I know is I average about 5 refills on my Lemo Drop (about 3ml capacity). I forgot it even had a puff counter. I'll set it up and see if I can get a more accurate assessment.

Edit: my quote function seems to be all screwed up lol.

ATM, I've gone through 2 refills and the meter shows 80-90%

I just cannot relate to all the battery life talk. My Radius is one of many mods on my desk, charged and ready to go. When one needs a charge, I move on to the next one. I get less than a day on my Radius btw, at 15w. I chain vape. But, the Provarinati taught me early on to have backups for my backups. I learned really well. :)

Batt life really has nothing to do with watts or ohms by themselves. It's the combination of the two. 15 w @2ohms will draw less than 15w@ 1ohm. The lower builds draw more amps which is why batt life is shorter. All batts are rated in milliamp hours or amp hours not watt hours.

And on my Kbox mod, one '650 battery will last me 2 days easy but I always make sure I swap out for a fresh one whenever I leave the house.

On my 'Vari mini I go thru 4 batteries a day; something I dont want to have to fiddle around with when I'm out in the streets.

Note 5!!!

A little holiday vape with some $100 Punkin Pie. Very subtle taste not over powering.
