I'd love the Radius to break down for all three 18xxx sizes, so it could easily fit in my shirt pocket. I don't yet have a Mini, so I am somewhat biased. I'll likely adopt one of those Minis somebody has in their closet that they never use.

ProVaris in the classys are what I appreciate most about high wattage vaping. One vaper's castoff is another vaper's treasure, ready to give years of service.
The problem with this is that the battery is the weakest link.

An 18350 cannot drive 40 watts for an acceptable amount of time.

Just My Thoughts, Jim

Jake, I'm glad you can build. I really do. I wish I could as I have a couple of nice Kayfun clones. But I' have multiple hand issues that make it almost impossible for me to do things like that any more. Once upon a time, I could do close-up work very well and built electronics, computers, fixed my wife jewelry, etc. No more. I don't much like the China deal either. I've order a couple of Cisco Spec coils. If they work, then I can use those instead of the ones from Aspire.
I understand your need. If I was in your position I would exactly the same thing. I would jump all over the atti if had a rebuildable base as an alternative.
If the Chinese can do it why can't we.

I've come to really like the mini mode with my ProVari's, so much that those are the only ones I look at in the classies now :) I'm hoping the Radius is about the same height as a mini.

All of the argument about what is or isn't safe, or whether the liability falls on the consumer or the manufacturer is absolutely irrelevant. At the end of the day. If there is a failure, the ONLY thing that people will hear is that a Provari blew someone's face off. The only thing the well paid idiots in our government will hear is that an Ecig caused another injury/fire. It doesn't matter who is at fault. It's bad for business, bad for the industry, and bad for us. You have all seen it. The FDA is just waiting for a chance to shut this whole industry down. Is it really worth losing everything to push batteries to the limit because a small percentage of the community wants to go above 50 watts and it "should" be safe? If you want to vape at 50+ and you are willing to take that risk, that's your prerogative and there are lots of options out there. But crying foul at Provape for not being willing to risk EVERYTHING on the knowledge of people that in some cases couldn't blow their noses if brain cells were dynamite seems unfair. I mean if you feel that strongly about it, you could always make one.

Just my 2 cents.

Add my two cents in too. One more and we've got a nickel.

The razor's edge is where we walk.

My only my thought on that is I dont think they want to shut us down at this point, I think they want to regulate and tax the Hades out of us.... new cash cow

I disagree. I think the government would love to see refillable, reusable ecigs go away because they are being lobbied by people with a vested interest in cigarettes and cig-a-likes(one time use).

The deck is stacked against us, partially do to our own actions (2008), and I really don't want to be smoking Marlboro again, four or five years from now.

ProVape's prudent approach, where safety is concerned, is a no-brainer approach. Pushing the envelope today might also help push us over an edge-of-no-return.

I applaud & appreciate it.

Spoken from the perspective of a person who's never seen an envelope he didn't want to push. This is the rare & singular exception. Survival instincts...

Ya nut! Good afternoon. :D
I go on nights tonight so I'm trying to get my brain set to nights :?:
I stayed up most of the night, and about the 3rd time my phone woke me with them warning weather advisories, I decided to take a few hits of my vape. I think it was around the 4th hit when my Fire Alarm in my hotel room went off  it's a newly remodeled room, so it has two smoke detectors with alarms and a little red box with a strobe light and an alarm. Needless to say when they all went off I pretty much :censored: myself  It only lasted about 5 seconds. Once I figured out it wasn't Aliens  I remembered that I had 2 mods charging and one 18650 battery in my charger, so after running around my hotel room checking on them I called the front desk. They said the storms are playing havoc with their systems and not to worry

"Most" of us did not "graduate" to sub-ohm attys... The vast majority of people using nicotine vaporizing products vape below 15 watts.
Wow the man him self Zen has chimed in.... :) Below 15 watts, maybe for the most part, but in the world of RDA/RBA atomizers I would think builds below 1.0 ohms are the norm... 20 watts seems like a real limiting factor..... Better to have more power and not use it then to not have enough... But that's just my opinion...

The next key in the equation is amp limit.... I can see 50w if the amp limit is low.
To take the tests by mooch as a baseline, the 20a batteries are readily available Provape being Provape how close to the mark would you estimate them to go?
I'm guessing 10 amp maximum.

Possibly yes, for new vapers who are in it for sport, rather than smoking cessation. I like 1.8-2.2 ohm coils on my Zen attys at 7-8 watts...
