I'll be really curious what Phil Brusardo has to say about this mod from Provape.
I know he's a fan of Provape but also a big fan of TC.

And don't forget fiddling... He loves fiddling!

I don't. I wanna vape it, with NO TC Fiddling!!!

Maybe, maybe... But we have to keep in mind, Ti is a ....* to work with.
We don't know how many parts the so called frame has. We don't know if the weight loss would be substantial enough to make one. We really don't know much abouth this anticipated device, do we.

Night folks, been a blast, I'm off to dream about which Radius to buy first, black or ghost white hmmmm decisions! I'm sure a titanium or stainless will pop up in there somewhere!

That's what innokin is doing....proprietary connector with an in line thermocouple.....to truly regulate via temp.

That's the near future and worth waiting for in my opinion. I want real temp sensing technology and suspect ProVape's philosophy dictates that as well. Their reference to "temperature guessing" suggests they are developing the proper technology to make setting coil temperature simple and bulletproof.

It may make the early temp limiting technology and coil material issues a thing of the past, more of a transitional step.

That's a shame, I'm sure it's doable just financially unviable, made out of ti I guess it would end up costing a small fortune then. :(

Ok more realistic wish, stainless steel or carbon fibre body with titanium bottom, top and button plate.
I'd settle for just Titanium top and bottom.
Oh yeah...maybe we need to start a new "want" thread for a Radius with at least some Titanium! :D
It worked for the P3, didn't it?!? ;)

It's always possible they're developing something new, but they call it "temperature guessing" because that's really what it is. No TC mod is measuring temperature, they're measuring initial resistance, change in resistance, applying a material curve (nickel, titanium, etc.), and calculating what the temperature should be, but not necessarily what it really is. Since it's not measuring, it's guessing.

One of the problems with this method is it doesn't take into consideration the resistance of the atty itself, or the connection (510/P3 to tank, tank to head). You know how sensitive the IQ meter is in the P3, and that's just battery to contact. Throw in a few more variables, along with the need to measure resistance accurately in the thousandths of an ohm, and you get why there's a lot of "guessing" going on, and a lot of people having wildly different experiences with TC.
