There are phones out now that are water resistant without even blocking off the usb port........perhaps provape has done something similarI think the problem with USB ports is that one drop of water, left in there, will ruin it. And someone who charges on an outboard charger will never look at the port, or "clean it out" with use. Then when it's time to do a FW update, the port is hosed.
In other words, you are recommending that none of us be early adopters, we should all wait a year to see how the USB port holds up?Lets let the usage reports speak for themselves when the product has infact been used.
There's a difference? You could draw it in sparkly crayon and I wouldnt understand lol No offence - its just me
I dont know what that means though - does ProVape use a circuit board instead of a chip like other then? That's why the ProVaris last so long with no issues? Then I guess they know their biz!
I was so close to posting the same thing astro did, but didn't feel like "rocking the boat" [emoji14]Oh boy oh boy! I'm a nose swiping plug polisher!
Chapter 17 in my upcoming book, Life Lessons Via vaping by KD.
Post of the day, Turfness!!!! [emoji38]
And just by the way, WHEN DO YOU SLEEP??![]()
One drop, maybe even less, is all it would take on many electronic boards.
Just my opinion, Jim
I like your reading other things into what I say...In other words, you are recommending that none of us be early adopters, we should all wait a year to see how the USB port holds up?
We don't know it's a step backward at all. It's all speculation. There are devices around with usb ports that are still water proof/resistant.Provape themselves have always claimed the Provari is extremely waster resistant. So can we stop pretending that is not so and admit that, at least in that way, the Radius is a step backwards in reliability?
And I'm not criticizing Provape. This step backward may be necessary in order to give the market what it demands, which is basically a high(er) box mod. But we can't even start to discuss that with the fanboyism going on here.
Is that what is in the Radius? There's a chip on the circuit board. ProVape has done a great job of protecting the chip on their board, but an off the shelf UBS unit doesn't have such protections...
Good for you!Really? I happen to test PCBs for a living....
Which explains much about the beatings my bottom has taken...
Is he wrapped in Bacon?Watch your steps, everyone....hamster is missing....
I thought you got your bottom beat for fun??
I read only what you said... wait to see how the product does, and that leads to being a very late adopter. You don't want to talk about this sensitive issue, nor apparently do you accept the alternative. Hopefully Provape addresses this head on. I doubt I'm the only one with very mixed emotions regarding that USB port. The well advertised water resistance was one of the main reasons I bought a Provari.I like your reading other things into what I say...
Are you a Lawyer?
Er Um OK...I read only what you said... wait to see how the product does, and that leads to being a very late adopter. Sending a search party...with bright lights...Is he wrapped in Bacon?
