Speaking of nice watches.......I want one of these new Seiko Astrons
http://www.seiko-astron.com/sp/

If ya look at the bezel of that watch, it apparently predicts something wondrous will happen at 4:22!

I do have one "nice" watch, a Croton chronograph.....picked up at a thrift shop for nothing, but it needs a battery.....

Back when I did have expendable income, I had a couple Swiss made invictas...no Rolex, but pretty darn nice, but changes in life saw those sold to a pawn shop....along with my Breedelove acoustic guitar (that hurt the most).
Someday I'll be back on top, and I'll have a solid gold radius to celebrate the occasion :D

Giving up that Breedlove REALLY had to suck.

those of you with the Radius already, how time consuming/fiddly is taking off the battery cap? or is it instant?

the two gears look pretty but don't know if it's gonna be a pain in the ... like the sx mini

It's pretty easy, but the Radius is REALLY designed to be used as an internal battery with internal charging, and the battery is easy to change when it's actual life is over... OR, In an emergency, sure, change the battery cuz ya forgot to charge the Radius. Mostly leave it in there, though.

Question for the watch guys:

Is the Richard Mille really worth the half million price tag???

Value is up to the person buying it... if I had the expendable income, and there was a tourbillon that struck my fancy, sure... why not.

I'd more likely grab a couple Patek Phillipe's that have caught my eye, though, And I can't stop looking at one Breitling in particular.

Most people see the Seiko name and think inexpensive Mall Quartz watch. Most have no clue that while Seiko does indeed make inexpensive quartz watches, they make some very high end pieces. Grand Seiko being the highest end of their watch lines easily compares/competes right up there with Rolex or Omega.

Grand Seiko is a very nice timepiece... there are many Japanese companies in the higher-end game. Citizen is known for making lower priced (high for some folks) mall jewelry store watches, but a number of years back they had an 18k line that had some lovely watches in it as well.

I was on a tank watch kick for a while and Stacie bought me an 18k/Diamond Citizen Tank that has always brought me luck. I was wearing the Citizen the day I found a good deal on this little beauty

Yes. It's peace of mind knowing if I need more than 40W (and up to 150W), I have the power so-to-speak. One thing it did make me realize is that 60W with a single 18650 is NOT 60W, even with a full charge. With the second battery, 60W was MUCH stronger, and probably ACTUALLY 60W. I think ProVape made the right call when limiting the Radius to 40W.

Oh they made the right call... wait till you compare 40W on the SX to 40W on the Radius...

Happy Monday Radius Peeps. Checking in from the Land of Smiles!

All this talk about watches...it really is cheaper to collect mods. :pervy:

Don't think I'll ever manage a Grand Complication...but this (simple...lol) Patek Complication really does it for me (5205G). :hubba: :hubba:

zen, that's the exact watch I turned down as an inheritance. I would never wear it and I thought it would look better on his long time lady's wrist. she's a great gal and took wonderful care of him for many years.

The Calatrava is only 33mm, so it's diminutive by today's standards, but it's a real beauty and you turned down one hell of an inheritance!

And people thought the bigger battery overhang on the ZNA was too much...
That right there... is BAD design.

I didn't even bother getting the extra tube.

A) Forty Watts
B) C'mon...

Yep, that's the one. When this was mentioned, I thought of the ZNA, but @Zen~ already commented on that :) This one is.. well... too long to be put in words.

A nice war axe, though, as stated by a user before.

Ya know it's funny...
They call us idiots because we buy 200 dollar 40 watt mods without temp control...
Then we show the watches...
Uh... yeah kids, we're not 20 dollar mod people.
My Car key costs more than 20 dollars.

I have to say the bigger battery option for the ZNA did nothing for me.

It was an option... lol

That Breedelove is one of the very few items lost from "the good days" that I truly miss....everything else is just possessions that will be replaced someday. A beautiful instrument has a soul. It's irreplaceable. I may have it's ilk again, but never her.
