Perhaps Tim could use a wrap from JWraps as a template/pattern to cut the leather and send you the prototype to critique.
That might be faster than a "few months" and quite a bit cheaper for him too...
Put it inside of a Toaster Oven...
Until your confidence builds.

If I was worried about charging it overnight...Don't have one, but I do have one of these,

Don't ya havta get one first?!?If I were to get a leather wrap, it would be professionally cut out and permanently adhered...
Have you tried Tim's sleeves? They fit like a glove but can still be taken off. Definitely professional. If I were to get a leather wrap, it would be professionally cut out and permanently adhered...
So why suggest it?If you guys are really worried about charging, look into LiPo charging bags. I've never used one, and don't feel right trapping a battery in a container that traps the head in with it.
Battery Power Level? The screen went off on mine about an hour ago. It still fired for a few minutes afterward then eventually shut down.Took the battery out and put it back in and it seems fine . I've been using it continuously since I received it yesterday and have had no
problems until now. Of course this had to happen while I'm at work with no backup. Hopefully it will be fine at least for the rest of the night.

I do...Right tool for the right job, if you're going to do it in the first place. Too many things can go wrong when people go the DIY route. Maybe the Dutch Oven lid is too heavy and at some point cuts through the wire and shorts it out. Maybe the lid on the pot is not heavy enough to contain a venting battery and blows off, still letting the battery fly around the room. Just thinking out loud, but you get the idea.
Uh Huh...
You First!!!
