Having read Lem's two posts most recent posts, I have put in a sell order for all of my Provpe stock. The Provape engineers have completely lost all contact with reality and doomed the company. Provape will be filing for bankruptcy within the month. Lem, having spoken, has rendered the stock worthless; such is the power a negative Lem review.

A friend of mine was in Germany for a few days and he picked up a Radius. I got to hold it, play with it, vape it and here are my observations. It has the usual high Provape quality. The SS is machined perfectly and the polycarbonate feels very nice. It's hard as nails and has a nice warm feeling. On to the menu... why oh why aren't the + and - buttons used? It's still a one button menu. What year are we living in, 2007? It's also an ergonomic nightmare and shows a complete lack of understanding of interface design. Provape really dropped the ball. The bottom plate... it's a pain in the buttocks, it really is imo. They could have done the same design with just one big thumb screw. I fail to see what the point is of having two small thumb screws. One big thumb screw also makes changing the battery faster (and why is the spring so big?). All in all, on the surface it's a nice box mod with some serious shortcomings.

Blatant misuse of the term "ergonomic" when referring to the menu system.
Ergonomics would apply to the physical form of the device, i.e. How it fits in your hand, how/where the button sits in relation to how you hold it, how heavy it is, the physical dimensions of it, etc...

He probably meant "mechanics"

Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

That's the power of Lemspeak!

And keep in mind this is just my personal opinion about the Radius. There's no need to treat it as a personal attack. I just don't understand some of the choices Provape made when designing the Radius. It could have been an awesome box mod, now it's just meh.... for me that is. It's great that you guys like it and I hope it lasts you a long time ;)

Lem...what the Sam Hill is that horrid thing you have for your avatar ??
I found it on the side of the road one day. It makes a really nice pet, whatever it is. You just have to remember to never get between it and its food. It will kill you if it gets the chance.

I know, I know, Its a picture of his true hate of anything ProVape. 92 posts in ProVape's forum and at least 77 of them are talking them down or trying to start a argument. Check it out for yourself. Open the forum, search for lemwise by member.

My personal opinion is that I like the Radius menu and button system. To me it is simple. I actually like the click on the up and down buttons, though I did not expect to.

On the other hand, I can't stand the multiple button pressing on many of the newish high end and low end devices. I need a keyboard and drop down menu's and a help button....or carry around a user manual, which often are not available. Once set up, they can be used. But---when it locks when you didn't ask it to -- or switches modes by accident. Eeks! Plus, it is a pain to keep track of which device does it which way

Provi 1,2,2.5,2.75 may have an "old" system -- but it is quite easy to learn and retain that knowledge.

Provi 3 -- Love the data on the first button press and the second, navigating menu's is easy, though it takes practice to find some things. It quickly became my first choice, because of those first 2 screens.

Provi-Rad -- Adding the up and down buttons a plus -- faster. The click on the up and down means I can adjust one or two clicks and not have to look at the screen. And, even though most never turned off their Provi 1, 2, or 2.5 -- I did on occasion. So, I like the 3 second or so press, once I did it a few times. I like having an icon menu for the other features.

I'm a KISS vapor --- Provi works for me and I really like knowing that I could put one aside for months and still be able to pick it up and use it -- because I can easily figure out how.

I believe that you were really interested in the Radius. I was very interested in the Radius, very excited about it's release. There are several things about the device that don't tick for me too, your observations of the menu, and why they chose not to use the +- buttons to access it is the biggest negative for me. I have had a P3 for several months now, and frankly, I just don't like the scrolling menu. I love the device though.

Lack of being able to use voltage mode, that is a big negative for me, sorry it's just the way I feel.

The battery door. meh, non issue if you ask me. I could get used to that. It is a nice looking device and in reality a very versatile one from all that I have read.

This post is not an attack on Provape, just my current feeling on this device. I think it is a good thing to be able to post what an individual does not like about a product, even more so than the plusses, sometimes it's in the wording that things either get misinterpreted, or the original intent is not purely to share ones thoughts on the subject...

I have pretty much decided to hold off on this device, at least for now. It was fun watching the unveiling and release party, and I am truly happy for everyone who got one and loves it.

@Vape360 , I have had a thought about the battery life/ end life, and a warning that might be incorporated into the chip. Say the battery is getting on in time and not performing up to snuff, might it be possible for the chip to issue a warning to "check battery" or some such, when the internal resistance rises to an unacceptable level?

In case anyone hasn't found their way over yet, the Not Specific to any Provari thread has been renamed (Thank you Bronze for the suggestion!)

ProChat - All Things ProVape and Beyond

You're messing with my head, ain't ya? ;)

I sure do miss that Blackberry thread. I can't believe @Robino1 shut us down.

Though that wouldn't be the best word either......bah, just heat up some bacon tacos and forget about it ;P

I know Provape gave about a two or three weeks estimate on the time of arrival for the Radius, but what are people waiting around? How many days did it take for yours to arrive?

Some are able to read between your lines, Lem, but in writing it truly does come off that way. That's the danger of the written word (as I counsel my staff about daily).

Kat likes it, Classy. I don't know why you wouldn't.

A selfie, perhaps?

Oh, no he DIH'nt!

Lol, my true hate of Provape... that's a good one.

Risking redundancy...

That's all well and good, E - but you're not leaving us, are you??? I'm not buying one either, but a fun place is still a fun place. :D

Thank you's for the laughs this evening. Good timing. :toast:
