What's a Radius beta?

R

R, Provape asked for volunteers about a week ago to beta test the newest software version for the Radius. So, some of us are currently testing out the software on our devices. And Provape is giving some new features people have been asking for.

Speaking of firmware updates? Which one of you two will be leaking it to us? lol j/k :pop:

The message from the Mothership specifically asked us not to leak the update, otherwise it'll be taken down.

Ok BETAs...STOP IT.

You're driving me crazy!
I don't even own a Radius yet (holding out for Stealth), but these cryptic posts are infuriatingly tantalizing!!!!

Take it to a group PM!
PWEEEEEEZ?

I'm very much an Alpha, as my user name suggests! ;)

All kidding aside, ProVape encouraged us to get other forum members hyped up for the update, without divulging specific details. Viral marketing at its finest!

New software update in Beta testing, Raitizz...neat stuff under wraps for a couple of weeks before going public.

I see...
Thanks, gents.

So......With the Radius two questions, not seeing it anywhere in the menu/manual/etc.

1: Anyway to view the volts, instead of the wattage?
2: Any way to lock/disable the buttons?
3: Really wish there was a way to view how the battery is doing besides a graph.
1. No, at release there was no voltage stats.

3. None of ProVapes current products show remaining voltage, only graphs or percent (P3)
The V2.5's that are on clearance show volts.

1a. Radius doesn't have a Voltage display - at least not yet.
2a. I believe you press all 3 buttons for 3 seconds to turn off the device, which would disable/lock the buttons until turned on.
3a. That would be nice to have as a percentage like the P3.

ETA: Enaud has beaten me.

Except neither of you made mention of the fact you can lock the small buttons from changing the wattage setting by holding them both simultaneously until the lock symbol appears in the screen. I personally have them locked because I initially kept changing my desired watts setting when the Radius was riding in my pants pocket.

I too had an issue with my first Radius, which was replaced. Provape came on the forum a few weeks ago and let us know they had gotten a few bad capacitors from a vendor and that is likely what happened to yours. It's not universal to all first shipped devices though. So, they're replacing them as soon as one goes south. You simply can't get better service from a company than what you get with Provape.
I would agree with that. They could not have done a better job getting me back up and running. It is possible my EVIC Mini has one of those bad capacitors too :). The difference will be how it's handled (and of course how long the device lasts once it gets past the infant mortality stage)

I thought it would be better if a beta tester mentioned the Power Lock combination, while discussing the b & o & m & g options...;)

No sweeter creation than a cute little girl. They would own me. And probably why God never gave me one. Parents are not supposed to be owned by their kids. :)

Or kittens, though you may not agree with me. These two own our hearts lock stock and barrel! Oh yes they do!

Heads up: this is not ProVape related, but ElectronicStix has the Mark Bugs Wizard's Apprentice Evolved II deeply discounted at $99.99. The current promotional code (STAYFROSTY) brings the price down to $90. Although I've had some cash put aside in the event that a deal on a used P3 Stealth came up, I couldn't say no to a rare mod for a bargain price. Not sure how many they have left, so whoever is interested may want to hurry up!
