I'll display my terminal geekiness by adding that I was running multiple desktops about 1994 or 1995 using OS/2.

I was running it long before that in various flavors of UNIX. I believe XENIX was my first at home. Every Mac/PC debate about who did what first always fails to mention UNIX, which did a surprising number of things a long, long time ago.

That image just reminded me about a movie I watched a very long time ago. There was a classroom full of children, and it was set on a distant planet where the sun rarely shone. The one day that the sun was going to show, one or some of the kiddos shut one student into a closet , and the teacher took all of the other students outside to see the miracle of the suns bright light...

Was it Fantastic Planet? I saw it once, a lifetime ago, and only vaguely remember the plot.

ETA: It may not be the right film, but I thought I'd post the trailer for those unfamiliar with it.
