Day three, still flooding bad out of the adjustable holes on bottom, turn it upside down to start unscrew from the mod and its leaking out of the drip tip,it seems to start leaking when I hear that famous gurgling noise!

So you are talking about the clone there^^^^?

The build and wicking are the same though, clone or authentic. If her clone is leaking, so will her authentic if she buys one.

I have the authentic and 2 clones so I'm in a good position to compare them. She has vacuum so its the build. Anyone who can post build pics will be helpful to her. I can tomorrow when I rewick. If anyone else can, help a fellow member, please, clone or not :). Were it not for the clone, I would not have known how much I wanted an authentic ;). Before spending $170+ she would probably like to learn how to build her clone.

You are the first person i have heard to say they are even close. The clones miss orings, decks are conductive etc. Glad yours worked out well!

Authentic are available at a few places. Cloud9, vaperev. From the clone thread there seem to be a lot of problems. I actually ordered then canceled once i read that thread.
Im sure its something im doing wrong with the FT clone, but 3 days still leaking,it's about the worst Clone I have ever purchased from any vendor I'm not saying that just because I'm still having issues with it,very cheap feel to it and the threads on it are not smooth at all.

Not always, some clones may differ in minuscule tolerances that could cause issues.

I have one nightmare clone, and one that is so good, you would have a hard time telling it from the authentic. But, all 3 build the same.

But, nightmare clone would work 5-6 days at a time so I learned how much I like the vape.

And if she has vacuum, it has to be the wicking causing the leak.

New SQ-R owner as of this week. First build went really well. Only gripe is the S deck was the tiniest bit small to fit the 2mm driver I built my coil on. 7 wraps, 28g, 1.2 ohms or so.

Watched a good video troubleshooting video on YouTube for help with the wicking. Build is an interesting contrast to the KFL. Coiling is cake. Wicking more time and effort intensive. Build quality is amazing. Do wish it was a bit shorter and for a good, better priced nano tank option.

Surprised they are still in stock at VR. The W decks were gone in short order. Found one at a US shop called 3d Vaping.

Vape quality so far is unreal with a tank of AiV Twas Brillig. Flavor/VP/TH all outstanding. That's juice is pretty thin though, higher VG may test the S deck beyond its abilities I fear.

Love this RTA. Just wish I didn't have to smash the vape budget to get it.

Cheers all!

I use 80/20 on this at times and no issue with the wide deck and wicking

I have 2 of the FT clones. SKU# 1882100. These were the very first one's that FT was selling.

I had leaking at first from both of them because the O rings were not seated in the plastic tank "window". Took me forever to get them in but once I got them in, it doesn't leak a drop.

My problems were with the 510 pin shorting out. I put thin rubber sleeves on the 510 pin to prevent shorting. I still have problems with them, but when they vape, they vape fantastic. If I never would have bought these clones, I never would have ordered an authentic one. I haven't received it yet, but hopefully tomorrow it will be here. I ordered mine from Cloud 9.

I'm not sure what SKU# you bought from FT. It sounds like each clone style has their own set of problems.

I haven't had any leaking due to the way that I wick them. I've used ReadyXWick (3mm size) in them, Rayon & also Japanese Cotton Pads (KGD).

Possibly one of your o-rings is bad (or missing) on the deck. If you fill your tank & turn it upside down does it leak? If it doesn't, it probably means that a o-ring or something on the deck isn't right.

Im sure its something im doing wrong with the FT clone, but 3 days still leaking,it's about the worst Clone I have ever purchased from any vendor I'm not saying that just because I'm still having issues with it,very cheap feel to it and the threads on it are not smooth at all.

I use thicker juice and the standard deck is doing fine at 13 watts. Occasional dry hits, but since I'm using 28 gauge, I can listen to the spool down after I'm done taking a draw, because it sort of hisses for a short time after I take a draw. If the hissing lasts too long, time for a primer pull.

With the wide deck, I expect to enjoy it at 17+ watts with wide open airflow. I'm using the 3rd largest airhole right now. With Velvet cloud's vanilla custard, it's just sublime =]

And this thing is a PIG on juice!

Hello everyone, is it me or this is not as expected?, I get a much, much better vape from my Nautilus, more vapor (with same airhole size and wattage) and also more saturated flavorful vape from the Nautilus. I`ve tried like 6 different builds now in a 3hour period lol. I`ve seen videos and don`t think I might done something wrong... Micro with Japanese cotton. Any inputs?

Ok, I coil in the hole, not above. Its an upside down coil with the leads on top.

Now, I was lifting it a bit on my Ivogo clone due to the crappy deck conducting, lol! That was the best flavor though so I'm going to try it on my other two.

See if you can push it down so 2/3 of it are in the hole.

Will do right now, my leads are on top, I will try to push it down and see how it goes. I`ll let you know.

Well mine is running nickel touching coil. I took the biggest screw driver I could fit in the W deck. Wrapped my coil and put the screw driver back in the slot and attached the legs. My wick barely reaches the edges and I tapperd it a touch also after it was hitting temp faster then I thought it should. No leaks and plenty of flavor and vapor. My nautilus with bvc is not even in the same ballpark. Warm dense flavor and can even lung hit it. Pbarsardo squape reloaded youtube at 14 mins is how I install my coil. Best of luck and please don't go back to the nautilus.
